The students head south, but after hours of walking they hear a giant roar. OH MY GOD,..WHAT'S THAT!?,..asks Brooke,...THAT'S NOT THAT GIANT BIRD COMING AFTER US IS IT!? I don't think so...replies Brett,..It sounds more like whatever we heard before we were abducted by the Crane Court!
!!You mean the Evil Blood Crane Cult!,..says a deep gruff voice. If that's where you all are coming from, you are VERY lucky to be alive!! WHO SAID THAT!?,..SHOW YOURSELF!,..replies Joey. I'm right behind you!!

All of the students have been knocked unconscious with blows to the back of their necks. When they all come to, they are in a village with warrior looking fighters standing over them.
Welcome strangers to the Dark Lion Clan, I am Verdin, and you are our prisoners!! !BWAAHAHAHAHAHAHA
-The students from Harlem in this weird dream world are ushered through a village and scorned by the villagers. This is a fighting clan as everyone young and old can be seen practicing what seems to be martial arts forms.
You belong to us now! ,..says Verdin. You will toil and work for us until you fall where you stand....NOW MOVE!
!!BULLSH*T!,..shouts Joey Dynamite,..KEEAAAAAAAAH!!!..BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOOOOOOM!
Joe blows a blast of his napalm creating a hole through the village. The villagers are all surprised by Joey D's power.
I SEE!,..says Verdin,..Bwaaahahaha,..I see,....This changes things. Come!,..Let us see what you have there! Show me your power stranger! Verdin gets into a fighting stance.
!!YOU WANNA SEE MY POWER!?,shouts Joey..IT'S GONNA BE THE LAST THING YOU SEE!
The two trade blows, Joey's technique is on point, but Verdin is quicker and more agile for a big burly fighter. He begins to outmaneuver , and over power Joey D. Joey is forced to glow up. His first concentrated strike hits its' target. Verdin is hit hard in the chest knocking him way back with the orangey-black signature Joey Dynamite's glow evaporating around Verdin until it's gone.
!!YES,...YES!!,..COUGH,..COUGH,..BLUUURP!,..THAT'S WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR STRANGER!,..yells Verdin coughing up blood with a sadistic smile,..!!SPIT!
Verdin spits blood out, and then the unexpected happens.

Verdin begins to illuminate a very bright light. It irradiates brightly all over him, constantly flowing outward. It shines like Sue's glow, just like the sun. There is no mistaking, it is the "Glow." Joey D glows up to Glow level 2. Joey Dynamite then glows up to an orangey-black with white, as he emits napalm explosions from all over.
!!COME POWERFUL STRANGER!,..bellows Verdin.
!!F*CK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!,..FULL NAPALM!!
Joey sends a powerful line of explosions that mushroom up to the skies. The fire plumes incinerate anything in close proximity. Everyone runs for cover, even Joey's friends. My God!,.says Jake,..No wonder he's next after Master Thunder!,..I had no clue! Well d*mn Joey!,..says Sue. Did he kill himself?,..asks Brooke,..such a fire, it's consuming everything!
Joey is in the middle of the flames panting, and huffing for air.
I SEE I CANNOT CONTINUE TO PLAY WITH YOU TRAVELER! ,..shouts Verdin very much alive. You are powerful indeed, but you have absolutely no discipline! Allow me to show you what your impudent teacher did not take the time to teach you!! ,.....THEN YOU DIE!
Verdin first begins to use his radiating glow to damper the burning fires. Joey lights up to send out more napalm explosions, but Verdin parries the the explosive glow power upward into the sky with ease. It illuminates the sky even at high noon. Verdin laughs with glee at Joe's disappointment that he cannot overpower him.
Now then,..says Verdin,..Shall we begin!! Hmmm?
Verdin begins to heavily irradiate his glow. He then charges toward Joey D. Joe glows up his concentration, he then covers himself at the last second in a twisting napalm like inferno blaze. Verdin disappears, then reappears behind Joey Dynamite. Verdin does a powerful double-fist swinging punch to Joey's back. It's hard, and powerful enough to send Joey Dynamite flying and forces him to lose his glow. Joey is now fully vulnerable. Joey tries to us his extensive knowledge of martial arts, but up against Verdin's version of Glow, he is out matched!
Now you understand the difference in our power, and the utter failure of yours! NOW!,..leader of the strangers,...you die!! You're men will face the same fate,....and the two girls will forever be spoil to our men,.................and women!
!!BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!,....rrrrRRRRRAAAAAHHH!
Verdin begins to thrash Joey Dynamite with well placed punches, kicks, tosses, and throws. Joe has no answer for Verdin's technique and power. All the other students run back up to where Joe, and Verdin are fighting to see their star-leader pummeled and broken down to immobility.
I HAD HOPED FOR MORE OF A CHALLENGE! I BARELY BROKE A SWEAT!,..SHIIII....waste of my time!
As Verdin powers up to deal the final blow all the students glow up to prepare to stop him. Sue is looking at the infuriated faces of all her friends. The whole ordeal is surreal, and is moving in slow motion to her. She sees her fellow students glow up to tremendous heights moving forward. Verdin's warriors advance in retaliation. Verdin's glowing fist and claws are raised to end it.
!!WAIT!!
Everyone stops and looks at Sujanae Green.
"WE'LL JOIN YOU!"
What did you say?,..asks Verdin surprised.
We will join you!,..says Sue,..Train us, and we will help you fight the Majestic Cranes! !!WHAT!?,..you mean the Evil Blood Crane Cult!!?,..Who says we want to fight that superstitious black magic cult!? Well, they certainly want to fight you!,.replies Sue. Or at least enslave you all!,..chimes in Brooke. Why should we train you!?,..asks Verdin,..You're all weak! For the next few days, the Dark Lion Clan train the Green's Dragon Temple students...But the students can tell their new teachers are holding back. The style is hard, but illusive in nature. The students pick it up so quick, it scares the Lion clan teachers. Verdin is surprised as well, and it makes him leery. Joe's glow has healed him after being out of commission for the past few days.

As Verdin taunts Joey Dynamite, deep in the woods looking through a telescopic lens mechanism a small warrior peers then makes haste to retreat from where he was perched high in the trees. It is now the 5th day since the Green's Dragon Temple students have left Harlem through the Effectual Door, which seems like a nightmare. They have been under tremendous pain and suffering at the hands of the Dark Lion Clan who are supposed to be training them for a battle. They are used as slaves, and the training sessions have turned into more like gladiator spectacles for the villager's entertainment. The students are tired from barely getting any sleep or food. They know they must escape the Dark Lion's Clan as they did the Evil Crane Cult. !!ENOUGH!,..shouts Verdin,..You may eat, and rest tonight, for tomorrow, we march on the Evil Crane Cult....Bloody bastards! GUARDS!... Escort our strangers to their quarters! The students are ushered through the village, but something catches the slow-moving Joey's eye. He sees Verdin's young son through an open window doing what looks like a weird kata-form. Joey asks the guard if he can thank Verdin for his hospitality. Verdin will reward you handsomely if you allow me this,..He's been trying to break me since I have gotten here, and I can't resist any longer!,.says Joe. The guard reluctantly agrees, but when the close is clear Joe knocks the guard out. Joey immediately goes to the window of the practicing child. He peers through for a while before trying to mimic the movements. Joey guessed the Kata form was special, and his hunch is correct. The young child glowed outward like his father, but much weaker. It is Joey's copying that finally draws the young boy's attention.

Joe wonders if his teammates have made a move. He is upset, because he perceives they made, and executed a plan without him. It isn't until he sees the look of dread on the villagers faces as part of the village explodes and goes up in flames in the far distance, that he realizes something different is happening from what he initially thought. Joe can hear the sound of hooting.
Sounds like,....like MONKEYS!,...monkeys?,..says Joe out loud to himself.,..What now!?
Little husky warriors rapidly move through the village attacking and killing anyone they can. Joey realizes he needs to get to his team mates to make sure everyone is ok. Joe makes it to the quarters where his friends are being held. This is our opportunity guys!,..says Joe,..We're gonna get out of this place! And then what!?,..asks Mr. D,.
What place in this god-forsaken world can we go where these monsters can't get us? !!WHAT!?,.replies Joey,..This building is on fire!,..You wanna die?,..Who are you anyway!? He's a nark that got more than he bargained for following us here!,..replies Jake. We should just leave him!,..says Gunner.
Just get us outta here!,..says Sue. I'm gonna' try something!,. Maybe I can take out these locks that keep you from using your glow!
Joe breaks forth in the kata movements he memorized after seeing Verdin's son Vaidun perform it.
!!CLACK!!,..The dampers that hold the students from glowing break, and the doors open, and everyone runs out. Sue is the only one who stops to look at Joe, jealous of his new ability. So you learned it huh?,..says Sue.
!!NOT NOW!,..POW!!.... Joe is punched hard from out of nowhere by an armored warrior that looks like a monkey. The warrior looks at Sue, and she is instantly paralyzed with fear. He grins then hoists up his staff that has a huge sharp ax on it. !!Don't feel as though you have failed your friend,..these eyes have that effect!,..BWAHAHAHAHA!!
So these are the new warriors!?,..HMPF!!,..Nothing special at all!!..says the armored warrior swinging down his axe-spear.
!!CLANG!!......metal on metal is the sound that someone has saved Joey Dynamite from losing his head.
!!VAYGA THE BEGUILER!... WELL IF IT ISN'T VERDIN THE MERCILESS!,...and actually protecting someone! YOU HAVE GROWN SOFT OLD SAGE!,.says the new comer in heavy armor called Vayga.
