If there was one thing he didn't need more of, it was even more chocolate and that was a fact, but he would be damned if he didn't eat some more. That, too, was a fact. After all, he didn't have any popcorn on hand to watch Heiji's and Shinichi's dialogue from the side corner, which meant that chocolate had to do the job instead. So far, it has served him well.
What made the two lover's exchange interesting to Kaito was that he had no clue what was going on.
"I don't think this axe is sharp enough."
Well, no clue probably wasn't the right wording per se, because at this point it has gotten clear that it involved murder. Maybe on a case, maybe one that the two of them were planning, maybe they were just experiencing a love crisis. He wasn't sure, but whatever it was he sure as hell would be holding it over their heads for ignoring his existence.
"I lied in front of a guard for you, isn't that badass enough for you?"
Some things weren't lining up exactly how he ad expected them to, but whatever. He wanted to chime in and set everything straight, but they might only be fighting as a couple in a weird detective kind of way with two emotionally dense idiots. Everybody knew that it would be just rude to interrupt that, though. He still had some social skills, but hanging out with them definitely has had a severely bad influence on him.
"He was the one to do it."
"No, it was clearly Haruna."
And yeah, so a case after all. Interesting.
Who was he even kidding at this point, after an hour and a half of listening to those two idiots, sitting there on the couch eating chocolate wasn't exactly a fun thing to do, not anymore. He was sure that in about two minutes of listening to them he would still have no idea, or well any real interest, about what they were going on about. They switch way too often between a couple's fight and a case too often. Probably because at this point it really is a combination of those two things, now aside from getting the right conclusion and solving the actual case the only thing to figure out was what actually belonged to the case, what to them fighting and bringing up past stuff.
He wasn't about that life anymore though. He could easily go and bother someone else. Quite easily in fact, but first he had to mess with those two a little bit. Which meant, not more or less, a wardrobe change for those two. Of course, not even he as great of a magician as he was, carried so much clothes with him, but he had an idea how to still make things miserable for them. The best part of it was that with them being preoccupied, he had all the time in the world to really wreak havoc.
