Today my life Begins

Chapter 1

Kiana was propped up against her plump pillow's on the king sized bed she shared with Bruno. Wrapped in a towel with her damp curls hanging on her shoulders, she methodically rubbed lotion up her shapely legs. Her laptop lay open beside her  she was  waiting for him to Skype message her. As she sat there, slowly rubbing the creamy liquid into her skin, her mind wandered back to that first meeting almost two years ago.

 She had met Bruno at the 53rd Grammy Awards where she was working back stage as part of a fashion design team. She had been running around backstage making sure everyone's outfits were on point, after all this was one of the biggest nights of the year. She was running up the corridor to attend to yet another minor disaster. Someone yelled her name, she turned to answer and when she turned back BAM!! she ran straight into someone. Their eyes met and the spark was obvious to everyone around them. She had apologised profusely for almost knocking him to the floor, and to be honest he was very gracious about the whole incident. So when he found her later in a dressing area he struck up a conversation with her and they found they had a lot  in common. So much so that  she had ended up going to the after party with him and they just hit it off immediately. That was the beginning of their love affair. A love affair that had grown and blossomed over the past two years, a love affair that grew stronger as the months passed.

She had been there when he had phoned her after he returned from Las Vegas the very next day, after he attended court for sentence on felony drug charges. He left with the knowledge that he could have been sent to prison and probably never see Kiana again and their brief meeting might be all he could hold onto. He had been very lucky, he was fined $2000 and had carried out far more than the required 200 hours community service he'd been ordered to do. With counselling and the fact he'd kept out of any form of trouble for 12 months, his record was now expunged. They had been through quite a lot during their first few months as a couple but, their relationship was stronger for it. They'd moved past the drama and had settled into their lives together. Eventually she had agreed to move into his vast Laurel Canyon mansion and now they were comfortable and very much in love.

Kiana's attention was brought back to the present and her laptop as her phone rang out letting her know she had a message. She smiled as she picked up her phone reading Bruno's name and swiped the screen. Sure enough there was a familiar message from Bruno, she knew what it  would say before she even read it. She laughed as she read the message "Baby can you Skype me please, I can't remember how to do it...lol". It was a well known fact that Bruno and technology didn't see eye to eye.She often wondered how he managed to work his trusty Blackberry, probably because he was forever asking her how to do stuff on it. She had tried to persuade him to upgrade to a smart new iPhone, but nope he was sticking with his Blackberry, "Why change what you know" he'd say whenever she brought up the subject.

Kiana brought up Bruno's name on her laptop and opened up her Skype, within seconds his face appeared on her screen. " Hey beautiful, how are you? God I miss you" Bruno blurted out all in one breath. Kiana laughed at his outburst while shifting her position in the bed "I'm good baby how are you? and I miss you too" she answered. As Bruno cocked his eyebrow and giving his head a slight tilt to the side he smirked "Whatcha doin?, I'm dying over here I'm so fucking horny right now". Kiana laughed she knew what Bruno was suggesting and she knew there was no way she was getting down and dirty via Skype well not today anyway. "Well my horny little man, you'll be home in 2 days so you're just gonna have to wait" she gave a little smirk "Or you could just deflate your own piggly diggly". She had gotten used to Bruno and his freaky little ways but she drew the line at performing sex acts via Skype, well most of the time anyway.

Bruno gave her a wounded look " Kiana! I would never do such a thing" Bruno laughed knowing he probably would at some point after they'd talked, "No and I'm the queen of England" Kiana laughed knowing the exact same thing. They both knew that things would get heated when he did come home; a couple of weeks without sex was unheard of with them. Bruno told Kiana about the interviews he had done and appearing on a couple of chat shows. "Everything's going great babe, I was so worried about this single dropping, and peoples reactions to it, but everybody seems to like it" he said while nodding his head. Kiana smiled at him "See I told you how great it was, stop doubting yourself you're brilliant, my amazing little pop star" she laughed. "Hey, hey  not so much of the little" he answered while putting the 'little' in finger quotes. They chatted about Christmas coming soon and the fact they were going to Hawaii to spend it with Bruno's family, she was beyond excited. She had met all of Bruno's family hell she was really good friends with Tahiti and Presley probably because they had the same maniac tendencies as herself, they all knew how to party and had spent many nights getting wasted together. But deep down she was nervous I mean she was going to be meeting his uncles, cousins and probably most of Hawaii, she really wanted everyone to like her. After chatting for almost 2 hours, and several failed attempts by Bruno to get Kiana to participate in his online sex game,without success. Bruno and Kiana  finally said their goodbyes, and after telling each other how much they were in love they ended their Skype session.

Kiana closed the lid on her laptop and getting to her feet grabbed it from the bed and slid it onto the small table that stood beside the patio doors. She slipped off the towel and pulled on some Hello kitty shorts and vest top and after brushing through her hair tied it up in a loose bun. She climbed into the bed which felt incredibly empty when Bruno wasn't laying there next to her. Pulling up the covers and flicking the small lamp off she settled down for the night. She had no idea what time it was when her phone rang out making her sit up and curse as she slid open the screen to see Bruno's name. "Ugh this damn man" she grumbled as she put the phone to her ear.

"Heeyyy baaabyyy it's meee" he drawled "Whaaat ya up to ?". Kiana hung her head drunk Bruno on the phone was not good. She breathed out a sigh "Hey B I was actually sleeping, you do know what time it is, don't you?". Bruno took a minute to answer "It's erm wait I got this it's.... well shit looka that it's 5am, what time you got?". Kiana tried hard not to laugh, she knew she'd never get him off the phone if he thought he was being funny. "It's 2am here and I was sleeping, but now I'm not coz somebody decided to damn well ring me at stupid O clock in the morning", her voice was raised and Bruno could clearly tell she was not amused. "I'm sowwy my lil huneybunch, baby B just wanted to hear your sweet, sweet voice, coz he misses you sooooo much". Kiana stifled a laugh as she answered "Well baby B gonna get his damn ass kicked when he gets back to LA.... and I miss you too, but I also miss my sleep so if you don't mind Imma hang up babe". She could hear strange squeaking noises through the phone "Bruno what the hell you doing over there?", as she squinted her eyes as if it would help her to hear. Bruno burst out laughing "I'm blowing damn kisses through the phone, can you not tell?". Kiana laughed he was such a dork sometimes but she loved his dorkiness, she puckered up and blew a kiss back to him. "There I've sent you a kiss back, now get off the goddam phone and let me sleep". "OK babe sorry for waking you.... oh and by the way Miss Kiana Marie Mathews I love you". "Yeah but I love you more" she answered. "Not possible" and with that hung up before she could say anything more. Kiana smiled looking at his photo on her screen, switched her phone to silent....just in case, and settled down again. A warm fuzzy feeling penetrating her very soul.
