Cinderwing's Past Chapter 10

A/N~ I'm almost done writing Cinderwing's Past and it's going to be about 17 of 18 chapters. I'm leaning towards 17 chapters and an epilouge set in present day JadeClan.  Cinderwing padded foreward, followed by Jaystorm, Snowfeather, Stormheart, and Lionwing, who was carrying Eagle. Lilysong, Redpelt, and Firecloud brought up the rear.

After a while, Lilysong spoke up. "We should form our own Clan," she said.

Cinderwing looked at her. "That's a good idea," she mewed. "But who will be the leader? And what should we call it?"

"You'll be the leader, of course," Firecloud mewed, suprising Cinderwing.

"Ok," Cinderwing mewed uncertianly. "What will we call our Clan?"

"I have an idea," said Redpelt. "How about JadeClan, in honor of Jadecloud."

"Me?" Jadecloud mewed. "Why me?"

"You're our medicine cat," Lionwing mewed, setting Eagle down. "Without you, Redpelt would be dead."

Cinderwing nodded. "Lionwing's right," she meowed. "We'll call it JadeClan."

"We should start looking for a place for a camp," Jaystorm said.

"You're right," Cinderwing replied. "But we should get further away from DarkClan first." She turned to Eagle. "Do you want to join JadeClan, little one?"

Eagle nodded. "My parents used to tell me stories about their Clan," she mewled. "I'll join your Clan. I wanna be a warrior like Mommy and Daddy were."

Cinderwing licked the kit's head. "You'll be a great warrior, Eagle."

"I just thought of something," Jadecloud mewed. "If we're going to start a Clan, we're going to need to find a place to share tounges with StarClan."

Cinderwing nodded. "You're right. I'll need somewhere to go to recieve my nine lives," she mewed.

Eagle looked up at Cinderwing, confused. "What's StarClan?" she asked.

Cinderwing looked at the kit. "StarClan is..." She looked at Jadecloud, not sure what to say.

Jadecloud sighed. "I'll explain," she mewed. "StarClan are the spirits of our warrior ancestors. They watch over the Clans and help them in times of need. Sometimes leaders and medicine cats get dreams from StarClan, telling them what to do. Your mommy and daddy hunt with StarClan now."

"Can I visit them in StarClan?" Eagle asked.

Jadecloud purred in amusement. "Not unless you want to be a medicine cat instead of a warrior," she told the kit.

Lilysong padded over to Cinderwing. "Should we hunt now?" she asked.

Cinderwing nodded. "Take Firecloud and Redpelt with you. The rest of us will wait by that tree over there," she mewed, pointing with her tail.

Lilysong padded over to Firecloud and Redpelt. The three cats walked into the bushes.

Cinderwing turned to look at the others. "We'll wait for them by that tree over there," she said, padding towards the tree. Jaystorm, Jadecloud, Snowfeather, Stormheart, Lionwing, and Eagle followed her.
