Inspired by the book, "That One Giggle" written by NinjaChick456 it is so amazing and got me to write this one!

(Update: also inspired by "Trust Issues" by DaughterDeHell , while writing their story really inspired me when I go through writers block! I started reading Trust Issues while writing. It is so good, pleaaase go read it!)

This story is using the Sword Art Online idea. Its an anime and if you havent seen it than I would suggest you watch it because it's great! I mean... The first season is the best, second season is eh, but anyways! Enjoys this Banana Bus Squad x Reader? Buh Byyyyye!

Your POV:

I grabbed my ConnectGear, the sensation of excitement was tingling through your fingers. The instructions and beta testers all said that screen recording was possible and it worked well...
I crossed my fingers and hoped it would all work smoothly.
The new GTA6 was mostly used for its new VR experience, just coming out today. It was intended only for the ConnectGear head set, others that couldnt afford it just stuck to playing on their console.
I always wanted to have the ability to be fully in game, it is reality breaking rules! Sounded like heaven to me!

I strapped it to my head and a voice started talking before I got laid down in my bed,
For cautionary purposes, please pat down your body and wait for our processors to connect and give you the best experience.

How was this for cautionary purposes? I shrugged and did so, a small ding happened in my ear, giving me the okay and I got in bed. As soon as my head hit the pillow, the headset sent me into a deep sleep but took my head to a complete other world.

I looked in the cormer of my vision and saw a small red dot, signalling that everything was recording. I smiled and looked around in the room I spawned in, "Holy shit!" I nearly ran to the nearest mirror and took in the randomly generated character, I had brown hair that was short and a curvy body. I only shrugged, not wanting to change much of anything. Clearing my throat, I did my intro, "HIYA GUYS! WELCOME TO GTA 6'S VR EXPERIENCE! Guys this is everything!" I laughed as I made a weird face in the mirror. "Look!" I flipped off myself in the mirror, "It is picking up my actions through my brain like my real body would be doing! Hold on and lets get too it!"

A few hours later...

I sighed and wiped the sweat from my forehead, pressing the coke button on the soda machine, getting my health back up. I looked around and watched as other players went nuts. What was one of the different qualities about GTA 6 was the bot count. Instead of a ton of bots walking around, they were actual players, under certain rules of course. I quickly learned that the law has been taken more seriously, seeing how it would be unfair to just ruin everyone elses game by constantly running them over and killing them.

I opened my drink and took a long gulp, finishing off the quick health boost and crushing the can. I looked up at the corner of the screen, noticing that the red recording light was off. "God damn it-"
"-you alright there?" Someone asked in a squeaker voice.
I looked over and noticed a group of other players walking towards me, the familiar outfits and masks struck me. I smiled, "Shitty Lui, my recorder stopped! Now I gotta start all over again!" Moo nodded, "The same happened to us,"
"Really? By the way-" i stuck my hand out, "-nice to meet you guys in person! I'm (Y/C/N)!"
Vanoss shook my hand first, "Im a big fan of yours!"
I felt a blush creep up my cheeks, luckily the ConnectGear didnt pick that up. I continued to shake everyone elses hands, "Sorry to cut this greeting short but I gotta check out this glitch." Basically crossed his arms, "We gotta do the same." I nodded and swiped my left hand over my arm, a menu swiping down to the palm of my hand, "I hope to play with you guys sometime! See ya-" my finger hovered over the missing icon.
"What the hell?"
The Log Out icon was missing.
Wildcat snapped and his menu popped up, "What?"
"The menu icon-"
Moo interrupted, "-its missing!"
I closed and reopened my menu, "It IS the first day being official. So a few glitches will occur... Maybe it'll take a second..." Someone pulled up too us, "Would the pretty lady like a ride?"
I looked over and saw the familiar red mask, "Ohm you wish!"

You didn't change into a mask or anything, not wanting to bring too much attention to the fact I havent had a face reveal yet...

He laughed, "Anyone else missing the Log Out icon?" We all gathered at his window, "Yea!"
He sighed, "Its weird because Squirrel just left game like 10 minutes ago. He left just fine without any hold up-"
The world revolved around us, I couldnt help but topple over slightly as the world around me started to change. I heard people around me starting to panic, "Oh god..." I got up and looked at the scenery around me, we were on top of the mountain and facing the famous sign... "What is this?" I tried to focus on what was happening and suddenly a jet flew infront of us. I looked around and couldnt help but believe that EVERY player was here...
"You must be wondering what is happening?" A voice boomed over us, slightly making my ears ring. I covered my ears and squinted up at the jet, where the voice came from, "Please dont panic, as this would be way worse... I have made this game in hope to find the top and most elite players. You may have noticed by now, that the Log Out icon has been removed. This was not a glitch or mistake."
I clapped my hand over my mouth, in horror and comedic relief at the same time.

What kind of sick joke is this?

"I have created the ULTIMATE VR experience. Real life... You can not leave game, the only way that is possible is through death, and that would remain permanent... No one can remove the head set or else it will shook electormagnetic waves deep into your brain and cause certain death. The only way out alive, is to beat the game..."
My breathing picked up when the last words were spoken, "Before I leave you to finish the game and escape... I'll reveal you to your comrades."
I noticed my vision shifting slightly higher and looked at my hands, my skin tone changed to my REAL skin tone, my hair (grew out?), and changed color. My body evened out and as far as I knew, I was a spitting image of my real self.

Anxiety ran through me, the only answer to our problems flew past us and into the sky, going past game bounds. Screams broke throughout the mountain, everyone has changed and the man that stood next to me before was now a young woman.

I did what any rational person would have done! I ran, trying to get past the crowd and make it to the resource spots faster then them. Hoping to god that I wouldnt cross paths with some homicidal maniac that could end my gam- life... Life... This wasnt a game anymore... This was Life or Death...
