ALONE

ALONE - part 7

After about 10 minutes of driving down a narrow dirt road, i stopped the motorcycle and asked Jahseh if he wanted to drive.

"I told you, i dont know really know how to drive it that well..." he said shyly.

"It's easy!" i said. "The main thing you have to do is steer it. The rest is simple."

"Fine. I'll try it." he answered.

We got off and switched seats. Jahseh in the front and me in the back holding on to him. He turned the motorcycle on and started driving. He drove the rest of the way with ease. His stalling was for nothing because he clearly knew how to drive this thing. I wonder why he made me drive it....

After 15 more minutes on the road, i finally saw the ocean ahead of us. We parked the motorcycle and headed toward the water. I dropped my stuff down on the warm sand and sat down. The beach was empty for some weird reason. Jahseh came up behind me and sat down next to me. As soon as he sat down, his phone started ringing.

"It's Stokeley." he told me. "I'm gonna go see what he wants i'll be right back."

He got up and walked towards the spot where we parked the motorcycle to answer his phone.

~Jahseh's POV~

When i saw Stokeley's name pop up on my screen, i told Skye i would be right back and walked over to the motorcycle to answer him.

Jahseh: "Hello?"

Stokeley: "Hey vro where ya at?"

Jahseh: "i'm at the beach why?"

Stokeley: "At the beach? Who you with?"

Jahseh: "Um no one..."

Stokeley: "Jah, come on we both know your lying..."

Jahseh: "Fine, i'm here with one of my friends.."

Stokeley: "Who??"

Jahseh: "This one, um, girl...i met-"

Stokeley: "Hol up, your telling me you got another girl? What happened to 'love is all lies' and 'i wont ever love again because theyre all liars'?

Jahseh: "But this girl seems...different..."

Stokeley: "That's what you said about geneva. And look at what she turned out to be."

Jahseh: "I know, I know, but...what if you come meet her right now? Your home right?"

Stokeley: "Yeah..but i dont know....."

Jahseh: "Come on vro it'll be fine. And we'll get to spend the day at the beach like we planned."

Stokeley stayed silent.

Jahseh: "Please..?"

Stokeley: "aight fine i'll be there in a bit."

I hung up the phone and set it back down on the sand while i waited for Stokeley.
