I sat up and looked around. I slowly got up, trying not to wake Jah and Ski. I touched my pockets and realized they were empty.. "where's my phone?" I looked around the tree and the ground where we were laying. No phone... While i was looking, Jah heard me and sat up. "You okay?" he asked. "I can't find my phone..." i replied. He got up and started helping me look. We looked for about 10 minutes. "It's okay Jah," i said. "You sure..?" he asked. "Yeah, i don't need it," i replied. "Okay..." he said while walking back to the tree. He sat down next to Ski. I walked over and sat next to Jah, looking up at the tree. "Remember the day we met...?" i asked him. "Yeah, that was the happiest day i had for a while.." he said with a little smile on his face. i smiled and look over at him. He looked at me and we sat in silence for a little, holding each other's gaze. I leaned in closer and kissed him.. We pulled away from each other and he looked me in the eyes. He immediately pulled me into a hug and we stayed like that for a while. A few seconds later, Ski woke up and looked over at us. I let go of Jah and we both looked over at Ski. We all stayed silent for a few seconds. Then, we all got up and decided to go home. Jah and Ski walked me home. Once we got there, we stopped at the door. I turned around and pulled both of them into a hug. "Thank you.." i said. I let them go and turned around to open my door. I immediately saw my dad in the kitchen and my mom sitting on the couch in the living room. "What are you doing home so early dad..?" i asked. "i...i got fired." he said as he slowly turned around to face me. "what?!" i said. "yep...my boss said he didnt need me anymore..." he said in a sad voice. i looked over to the living room as my mom got up and slowly walked towards me. she stood infront of me to face me and said, "its all your fault." "rose no its not-" my dad said from the kitchen trying to defend me. "yes it is. its always her fault." my mom said coldly, looking me dead in the eyes. i tried to run away and she grabbed my arm. she shoved me towards the wall beside the door. i hit the wall and fell down onto the floor. she came up to me and kicked me in the ribs, i bent over, slumped down on the floor. "ROSE NO." my dad desperately yelled from the kitchen. she ignored him and kicked me again, this time in my back. my dad ran over and tried to pull her off me. she turned around and punched him, he fell onto the floor behind her. she turned back around and raised her fist to hit me again, when the door swung open. Jah burst through the door and pushed her off me. he kept walking, cornering her. Ski walked in behind him and helped me up. we both ran to my dad to see if he was okay. "im...im okay.." my dad said. we helped him up and looked over at Jah and my mom. Jah cornered her and bent over to meet her eyes. "if you ever touch skye or her dad again i will hurt you." he said coldly. my mother's anger faded away, her face showed fear. "now, i want you to leave and never come back. i never want to hear that you came back or tried to hurt them. now leave." Jah said. my mother didnt move. "i said NOW." he said, standing up straight. my mother quickly got up and ran out the door. Jah turned back to face us. "if she ever tries to hurt you again, let me know." he said. i ran to him and hugged him. "thank you so much." i said. Ski and my dad came and joined the hug, and we all stood in the kitchen, wrapped in each other's arms.
