Chapter Thirty-Three

Brittany Dawson

It wasn't like the movies. Michael didn't set up rose petals leading to the bedroom or candles lit around the bed. It was so un-cliché that it was exactly like us. He wanted it to be special for me, but he knew he had to make it as original as possible for it to be.

We walked through the door and slipped off our shoes lazily first. Then, I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and change into my pajamas. I stuck with Michael's flannel over my undergarments because I was honestly too lazy to put on pants. But as I exited the bathroom, I was surprised to find Michael leisurely laying on the bed.

And I laughed. "What the hell are you doing?"

"Um, laying," he replies, scratching the top of his head.

"You're such a weirdo," I snort, climbing onto the bed beside him.

I slip underneath the covers, getting warm. Next thing I know, Michael is hovering over me. I'm trapped under his body and I can't say I was annoyed by the matter. I was enthralled more than anything.

"What are you doing?" I ask, tracing his biceps with my fingertips.

"Do you want to have sex?" he bluntly asks.

I raise an eyebrow. "Like right now?"

"Yeah." He nods.

"Um..." I trail off, my cheeks reddening. "I mean, do you?"

"I'm asking you if you want to," Michael replies. "It doesn't matter what I want. What do you want?"

"Uh... I guess," I sheepishly answer. "I love you and I want you to be my first."

"Is it okay if that's right now?" he asks.

"Do you have a, um..."

"A condom?" Michael chuckles.

"Yeah." My blush deepens.

"Yes, babe," he replies.

"Okay." I nod.

"Okay?"

"Sure."

Since we're awkward, things start off awkward. Michael dips his lips to meet my own. He catches them swiftly, taking me by surprise a bit. I react almost immediately after, moving my lips along with his.

"Wait, wait," I huff, pushing Michael away.

"What? Am I moving too fast?" He asks.

"What? No." I shake my head.

I begin to unbutton the buttons on the flannel. I lift up once complete, then toss it to the floor beside the bed. Michael stares at me with his mouth agape and I almost mistake it for disgust.

"What?" I frown.

"You're just... so beautiful," he speaks nearly inaudibly.

"No, I'm not," I softly say. "I have scars."

"You're beautiful," Michael adamantly states. "I could care less if you have stretch marks."

"They're so nasty, though," I sigh.

"You're beautiful, Brittany," he says again. "What you look like on the outside doesn't even begin to compare to what you have on the inside."

I feel my eyes begin to water. "You're too good for me," I say.

"Baby, no." He shakes his head. "We are just right for each other."

I kiss his lips. "I love you," I say.

"I love you, angel."

As soon as our romantic words are exchanged, we're back to kissing. Michael's tongue finds its way into my mouth. I'm tugging at his hair and he's gripping my hips. We're messy and uncoordinated but we're beautiful.

Before I know it, we're both under the blankets and we're both naked and we're touching, loving, and feeling.

"Are you ready?" Michael asks after he added protection to himself.

I nod, nervous all the bit. Before I can process what's happening, a sudden pain makes itself known in between my legs. I'm clenching at Michael's hair and biting down on his shoulder. Tears slip down my cheeks as the pain fails to subdue.

"It hurts," I whisper.

"Do you want me to stop?" he asks.

I shake my head no and he continues pushing. The hurt eventually seizes, but it doesn't disappear completely. Michael pushes himself in and out of me. I don't say anything about it hurting me because he's enjoying himself. Your first time (as far as I know) isn't meant to be pleasurable anyway.

At last, Michael collapses on top of me. Our chests are touching and heaving up and down against each other. His breath is fanning against my ear as mine is slow and paced. I wasn't working that hard throughout the whole process really.

"Was that okay?" I ask.

"It was good, baby," he replies, kissing my neck. "So good. You did great."

"I didn't do much," I admit.

"You were perfect."

Before we both fall into a deep slumber, Michael whispers to me, "I love you so much, princess."

"I love you," I reply, shutting my eyes and allowing sleep to encompass me.
