Narrator

The room is full of people. Full of reporters, Rita Skeeter is of course present, full of aurors who hold the many deatheaters, full of the jury and the judge and finally full with many witnesses like Harry Potter and Hermione Granger. While they both sit on the wooden bench, an auror stands at the floor behind the only chair in the middle of the room and holds Draco Malfoy tight with his hands, so the young man can't move.

Deatheater after deatheater is sentenced and after quiete a while the courtroom is definitly empier than before and only a few criminals are left. Draco doesn't make any noises and is absolutly quiet, when the judge speaks to anybody. He just stares at one point on the floor and counts the seconds until he would be send to azkaban.

The blonde had accepted the fact that he will spend his live in this prison after the war. If he is honest, he knew already during the 6th school year that there's no chance to flee from this fact that he doesn't deverves another place.

He stares at the floor and tries to imagine the deathly kiss from the dementor. The Malfoy read a lot of this topic in the time when the dementors were at Hogwarts. He never could imagine how it is when a dementor is right next to you. Draco read that everything gets cold and that you remember the worst thing or things which happened to you until this moment.

He asked himself what he would hear or maybe see, but he wasn't successfull. Sure, he went trough many things which were frightening, but he couldn't decide which was the worst. It is said that the dementors would suck your soul out...But he can't imagine this. Hopefully it would be so painful like it was describe in some books.

The Slytherin don't deverse anything else.

»Lucius Malfoy.«

Dracos head raises, because the name of his father was mentioned. He sees how the auror, who holds the older man tight, walks to the chair, which stands in front of the whole jury, and he see how his father sit down. His hair is grey, his face looks tired and all in all he don't looks like the powerful man who he was for example in the 2th school year.

If the youngest Malfoy is honest, he would say that his father wants compassion from the people here in this room. But Draco totally know that Lucius won't get it. Draco knows the jury and the judge don't have only a bit pity for Lucius or for him. They don't have something like that for all of the deatheaters. Lucius and all of these people who sat on exactly this chair today, had make their choice and they must live with that.

The thoughts of the young adult are interrupted as the judge begins to speak again: »Your name is Lucius Malfoy, is that right?« The older Malfoy nods. »Yes, Miss.« She continue. »You were born 1953/1954, correct?« He nods again and again he affirms her question. »You are married with Narcissa Malfoy who is born as a Black and your son is Draco Lucius Malfoy?«

»Yes, Miss.«

The jugde looks cold at the man in front of her. »You are indicted here today for follows Voldemort. You tortured, killed and despised Muggles and muggleborn-wizards and witches. You always stood by Voldemorts side and were loyal to him. You shared his world views and were completely convinced of his actions. Even in the final battle, you didn't stop and fought against anyone who was on the right side. Do you deny that?«

Her voice is so dismissive that it runs slightly cold down Draco's back. But what did he expect? Everyone in the magic world hates the people who worked for Voldemort. The Slytherin hates himself for that too. He and all the others couldn't expect something else.

Lucius Malfoy shakes his head. »No, Miss.« he says. He looks like a little schoolboy who has just got into trouble and is damned meek. And that is the thing which makes his son so incredibly angry that Draco he might freak out, but he has to calm himself down. He only presses his lips and is silent.

The young woman still looks at the grey head coldly and Draco could swear that her look at the next words only gets colder. »So...If you don't deny all these things, can you give my a reason or reasons why you did all these barbaric actions?« Everybody can hear how much she hates Lucius and the things that he did. But she's right. These actions were totally barbaric and crap.

The Slytherin is looking forward to his father's statement and how he would try to makes excuses. Honestly he expect the typical excuse which was used very much this day from the many deatheaters that the person stood under the »Imperius-curse« and that he had no chance to made his own choices, even when everyone knows that this isn't and wasn't the reality. But he don't expect what the older Malfoy will say in the next moments:

»I want to tell you my reason, Miss. I hadn't a choice. Voldemort threatened to do something to my family and kill them, if I resist him. I love my family, my family is everything I have. I saw no other way to protect them, please understand! I -«

Draco can not control himself anymore. These words of his father makes him so angry that he completely loses control. The pureblood begins to writhe in the auror's grasp and tries to break free to punch the old Malfoy in the face, but the auror just adds to the harshness of the grip, so Draco's ability to move is only further limited.

At this point everything is over for him, he begins to scream: »YOU'RE FUCKING LIAR! MOM AND I MEAN NOTHING TO YOU! ABSOLUTLY NOTHING! YOU ARE SUCH A LIAR! YOU DON'T LOVE YOUR FAMILY, YOU ONLY LOVE YOUSELF AND YOU ARE JUST TRYING TO SAVE YOUR FUCKING ASS FROM AZKABAN WHEN YOU SAY YOU TRIED TO PROTECT US! THAT'S FUCKING BULLSHIT! YOU SHARED VOLDEMORT'S WOLD VIEWS MORE THAN EVERYONE ELSE I KNOW! YOU TAUGHT ME THAT MUGGLEBORN-PEOPLE ARE NOT WORTH LEARNING TO CONTROL THEIR MAGIC! YOU ARE GUILTY!«
