Draco is sitting in the courtroom - again.

He thought he would not sit in this chair again but was wrong. He is accused of poisoning Hermione Granger as he was told right before he was brought into the courtroom — the time until now the blonde spent in Azkaban - also again.

This time though, it felt okay because he did not feel anything. His whole body was numb in this cell and it rather felt like a dream than reality. He spoke no word, just asked how Granger is but nobody has answered him which made him worry even more.

The Malfoy does not know anything, just that he did not poison her.

Grayson is sitting in front, with the judges and lots of bystanders which is not a big surprise as Draco Malfoy on the court just a few months after he was released out of Azkaban because his former enemy Hermione Granger to help him is a giant event no one wants to miss. Especially not because the public opinion on the Malfoy family and other death eaters did not change at all yet.

As Draco was informed, there are only a few witnesses such as his mother, Harry Potter himself, apparently Ginny Weasly and the crown witness Grayson. The Slytherin does not understand why he is the crown witness. The distrust grows day by day. The young man will go back to prison, that is for sure. Grayson will make him go to prison.

Whatever he says, he will lie.

So the blonde is still, does not move in the chair and does not say anything as the trial begins.

»Draco Lucius Malfoy, you are accused of poisoning Hermione Granger with the intention of killing her.« says the judge. He just stares at her. He lets her speak and the mass of people in the courtroom inhales deeply after every detail that happened - according to the court, or actually rather say Grayson as this whole trial is based on the descriptions of Grayson (that are not true at all).

As he is asked to speak he denies having planned to poison his roommate and explains that they both get along pretty well meanwhile. Grayson listens and laughs disparagingly. Draco is trying his best to not say something to him. There is no proof that Draco poisoned her but that she was poisoned according to the doctors at the St. Mungos hospital.

It must have been Grayson as they spend the morning together. The Malfoy knows now that they were at a café and allegedly they got pretty close which he cannot believe. The memory of Granger's outfit and make-up plops up in his brain and the instant reaction is a slight change in his facial expression. It was not her and he still wonders why she was dressed like that.

Maybe she will tell him after she recovers?

Even the thought of that is ridiculous because he would never be allowed to see her. Generally, what motive would Grayson have to poison her? He seems to "like" her - not really like but it appears as if he would like her attention and agreement to lots of time which Draco dislikes. Just because Grayson is a suspicious person.

The witnesses tell the main judge their impression of Draco's situation, his relationship with Granger and their opinion on the accused act. All of them say they do not think he was capable of doing it, especially since their relationship was improving - completely to his surprise. He would not have thought that Potter for example would say only positive things about him again because they did not talk after his last trial or anything.

They both have no connection but Granger must have talked to him sometimes as he seems to know the rough situation. Narcissa is almost crying as she is supposed to describe the last months but this is no surprise to anyone. it is her son who is accused of murder. Who's mother would not cry in the courtroom when she was a witness of the trial?

After his mother has finished talking, it is time for the ultimate (exaggerated) key witness Grayson who answers every question in detail. The blonde can only slightly raise an eyebrow, he wonders why Alex is not an actor the way he almost performs a show on court right now.

There is no chance he is telling the truth as most of the things he tells have never even happened, that is for sure. But of course who is believed more? An ex death eater or a socially committed person who is liked by everyone and charming to everyone? The case is closed.

Draco himself is sitting on the chair again and is asked to speak, and defend himself against these reproaches as suddenly the door behind him is pushed open and someone steps in.

»Stop this trial!«
