Dear Lena,
Today is Noah's first birthday. I can't believe it's been a year since he was born. He's gotten so big since that day. He's at least four times the size he was when he was born. I remember that day like it was yesterday. I am so proud of him. He's started making noises that sound like he is talking, like "mmmm". His smile has gotten bigger and his eyes have gotten brighter. He chases me around the room in his speedy crawling that he does. We play that game for hours.
Noah loves playing with Arthur, who is almost the same size as him. It's funny to watch them chase each other around the living room coffee table. They role around the carpet, squealing at each other. I think Arthur thinks that Noah is another dog because they move the same way. It's funny. I wish you could see it. You'd love it too.
I haven't found the right daycare or babysitter for Noah yet, but I promise you, Lena, I am looking for someone or a place to watch him so that I can return to CatCo. I want to return to work, I really do. I have just gotten so used to spending every second of every day with him and to have someone else watch him... I don't know if I can do that.
Alex, Maggie and I are taking Noah and Maggie to the park today, to celebrate his first birthday. We are going to play on the swings and the slide and the caracel. Noah can't wait. I'm excited too. We are going to get ice cream too.
I wish you could be here.
I miss you.Your love,
Kara.
