Okay, so you know when I said that I was only going to edit the story and I wouldn't change anything? Yeah, well, that was kind of a lie as of now. You see I was adding things to my outline and I added some stuff, and I took out stuff that didn't really make sense. So maybe reread some of the other 'chapters'. If you are new here (like if you started to read them when they said edited) then you're fine. If you decide not to reread it that is also fine, but you might find it a little bit confusing after on because I changed some parts.

I opened my eyes slightly and tried to breathe. I couldn't breathe. I was underwater. In freezing cold water in late fall. The coldness didn't bother me because of my magic. The lack of air was the thing that made me panic. I tried to swim...also, side note, I do not know how to swim. Yeah, I know, I know, I should have learned how to swim. It just didn't seem very important at the time. I usually just stay in the shallow area where I can stand.
I started to get desperate for air. Darkness started to cloud my vision when I saw a figure swimming towards me. The person held their hand out to me and was helping me to the surface. After a few seconds that felt like an eternity, we finally reached the surface.
The person that helped me I could now see was a teenage boy wearing a cat costume that seemed to be a mix of spandex and leather. Once I reached the refreshing, clean, breathable air, I coughed from all the water in my lungs. The Catboy helped (more like dragged) me to the concrete. Once I got onto the concrete I was on my hands and feet while I coughed up water. Some of my breakfast came up with the water. With a quiet, scratchy voice from the water, I managed to say, "Thanks, Catboy."
He laughed, "'Catboy'? Seriously? I'm Chat Noir. And you're welcome. It's kind of my job as one of the Superheroes of Paris." He smiled upward at the clear sky because of what seemed to be his inflated ego.
I raised an eyebrow at him., "So, you're saying, that if you weren't a superhero of Paris you would have let me drown." I sat down innocently in front of him knowing that that wasn't what he meant at all.
He got flustered and tried to correct himself, "What‽ No, no, no. That's not what I meant."
I laughed a little and stood up, "Don't worry, I know what you meant. It's just fun to mess with people. I'm Marinette by the way."
"Nice to meet you by... but how again did you end up in the water?"
I shrugged. My eyes went wide remembering our mission and that my phone was in my pocket, "UGHH, No!" I fumbled with my phone to get it out of my pocket. It was soaked with the water from the river. "No way it's going to work now," I mentally facepalmed. How am I going to call the Winx to tell them where I am? I don't even know where we are staying. I pushed my hair out of my face. Okay, first I need to get my priorities straight. I looked around. I have no idea where I am other than the fact I'm in Paris. I'm near a bridge with locks on the railing. I have no way to contact people... Unless I use someone else's phone. So now that I have that out of the way. "Why do you look like a cat? No offense, but wasn't Halloween like, a month ago? Also, could I borrow your phone? Wait... nevermind that wouldn't work. I can't use earth phones to contact the Winx." I mumbled the last part. I finally looked up at him.
