The Soulless

I didn't have enough time. And that has never been a problem before. The sudden force and speed of the attack sent shock to my system before I could do anything. Before I could even try to block it. It just, wasn't something I would have expected. Especially since it did meet its target.

The loud crack of bone meeting bone still echoes through the forest. The sharp end of attack is lodged into the back of his skull, with me in between. Tremors of pain do throb through me as I feel my life force drain out of me. I can already tell that Sans is already losing his form. And slowly is turning into dust. Why did he do this? Does he...know?

I feel the Determination of just trying to stay alive. To try to continue with my plan. And that desire to continue allows me to go outside of this universe. It allows me to RESET. The familiar glow of the button sits in front of me, while the gory scene of death stands behind. The appealing nature to start over makes me hope and hate.

Hope that I can continue.

Hate towards those who also have this ability.

Soon enough the world bends back time. And I begin again, inside of Sans, ready to try to defend himself. But this time, he is...upset. Frustrated with his surprise realization. Unable to cope with what had just happened. And mad at me. But then again, that isn't new.

"How long have you known, Sans?" I draw out, sending my vines back into the Earth. "How long have you been able to RESET?" He almost growls. I know of his experience with the human, he just doesn't know how much I know about it.

"I asked you first." I joke in a menacing manner. No need for him to feel as if he can take the upper hand and get out of my control. The tone of my voice and the vines that tighten around his bruised hand tell me about his hidden answers. "Long enough to know that you knew about them too." Ah, yes. The resets of the human.

That's only the tip of the iceberg. He doesn't even know the half of it. "Well, then, good know that I won't have to explain all of that to you." I brush of his question. There is no need for him to get any ideas. He doesn't need to have any answers. He doesn't need to know about...Chara.

I can feel the breath of air he is about to take to answer his question again. And I can't help but to squeeze it right back out of him. I tighten the vines around his throat. And his jagged breathing allows room for me to speak. "Alright then, let's get back to training." I say, the joking manner dropping lower than Sans' hopes for freedom. Only a few more days and the human will fall.

Only a few more days so I can finally end it all.
