evangeline had just finished her performance, and let me tell you... it was amazing
i was happy i could finally see her dance, because this is something i've been waiting to do since i met her
" oh my god, you were fucking fantastic " i approach evangeline, handing her the bouquet of daisies i had bought her
" thanks " she blushes
i lean down and pull her into a sweet kiss, and i can feel her smile against my lips
before pulling away, i give her a peck
" so uh, our plans have changed for dinner " she tells me
" oh? "
" my family came and surprised me at my performance " she says and my cheeks heat up
" oh " she laughs
" do you mind if they join us? " she asks
" of course not " i tell her and she smiles, before a boy comes and tackles her into a hug, a younger girl not too long after
" you were amazing! " the boy exclaims
" you did really good, eva " the girl says
" okay, guys let me breathe. i have to introduce someone " evangeline says, the boy and girl releasing her from the hug
" peter, annalise. this is shawn. shawn, this is peter and annalise " evangeline introduces us

forget what i said over text i'm still scared
" hey " i wave with a smile
" hi. you're good looking " annalise says which makes evangeline's jaw drop and shove at her sisters shoulder, causing me to laugh
" thanks " i reply
" shawn? " peter says, looking me up and down
i gulp, nodding
" what are your intentions with my sister? " he asks
this is why i'm scared of brothers
" peter! " evangeline exclaims, annalise muttering an "oh my god" before walking away
" i- uh, w-we're, um " i stutter
" peter, shawn and i are talking " evangeline says, coming next to me and side hugging me
" now, leave the boy alone. he's already scared of you " evangeline says and my cheeks start to burn
" you're scared of me? " his face softens
" i'm, uh. i'm scared of brothers in general " i say, looking down
" why? "
" well, i'm scared they're gonna rock my shit for wanting to be with their sister " i tell him and he laughs
" you're good dude, you seem like a good guy. but evangeline, you're lucky dad got stuck in the office " peter tells her
" i know, pete " she says

" that was fun " i say as we leave the restaurant
" really? you had fun? " she asks and i nod
" good. my mom loves you, by the way " she tells me as we continue to walk to the train station
" that's good " i say and we walk in comfortable silence
" thanks for coming, by the way " she says, breaking our silence
" no problem " i smile, intertwining my hand with hers
" i enjoyed watching you dance. i know it's something your passionate about " i say and she smiles, looking down
before you know it, we arrive at the train station
" will i see you tomorrow? " she asks me and i sigh, shaking my head
" i've got a lot of exams to take all throughout the day. i can facetime you after them though " i suggest and she smiles, nodding
" i'll see you friday. we're going clubbing " i wink at her and she smiles, placing a kiss on my cheek before stepping on her train
