Only a Ride

Chapter Seven

It has been a couple of months since I moved to Charming and I couldn't be any happier. The boys had went with me to pack up my house and called my realtor to put the house up for sale. She told me it would sell pretty fast, and I was ok with that. It hurt a little bit at first because this was the home I grew up in, it held so many memories and I was leaving it. I was looking at my pictures on the mantle a tear started to fall.

" Hey Doll you ok?"
" Yeah just going down memory lane, I'm fine."
" Ok just wondering, we are done and loaded up expect these boxes."

I nodded and we loaded up what was left. We headed back to Charming to the house Gemma found for me not too far from her house and it was perfect. Three bedroom, two bath, fenced in yard with a pool. Privacy fence and look like a little Cabana, this house was amazing and I loved it. The front yard was full of flowers, bushes, a couple of trees and it felt like an oasis.

Alex and I decided to date, we didn't put any labels on it but he was mine and I was his. Everyone knew it, the Croweater's, the Porn Stars, the Club, hell the whole town knew we were together. Boy Ol' boy their gums were flapping when news spread that Tig had a women and the rumors started to fly. In all honesty it didn't bother me or him, but some of the things that was said about me had my blood boiling, nosey fucking old bettys with nothing else to do but spread gossip. Couldn't walk into the Salon without hearing whispers, some of jealousy, some curiosity, others wondering how Alex landed someone like me.

I just held my head up high and didn't give into idol gossip, because it was just that gossip. Then the day I met Deputy Chief Hale and what he had to say to me still had my jaw on the ground.

" Hi Names Deputy Chief Hale, but you can call me David."
" Hi Deputy, is there a reason why you are interrupting my lunch?"
" Just wanted to introduce myself, I noticed you are new here and also couldn't help but notice you hanging out with the Sons lately."
" My social life isn't any of your business."
" Just letting you know the Sons are dangerous and women tend to be on the receiving end of the danger, not by them physically but by association, just please be careful. Don't want a pretty women like you getting hurt especially being around Tig."

My jaw was on the floor, I kinda of figured they were dangerous, they carried around guns. They wore a Reaper. Doesn't take a genius to put two and two together, but they have been nothing but good to me. Gave me a job, welcomes me with open arms. I grown close to Donna Opies Old Lady, Louann Ottos Old Lady, Gemma and some of the Croweater's at the Clubhouse. I don't call them that because how they treat me and how I treat them, we respect each other.

So I left and went back to TM and was in the middle of my shift when Alex walked in.

" You ok doll? You have been awful quiet since you came back."
" Promise you won't get mad?"
" Yeah sure, something happen?"
" Met Deputy Chief Hale and he warned me to stay away from you guys, now before you go and catch an assault charge I am not leaving, he is not chasing me away from my family. I was only thinking as to why he would say those things to me, but it accrued to me that he must like me, and he is wanting me to get away from you guys. I'm not leaving and the only way I will leave is if you tell me, even then it is still a fight."
" For a second I thought he would have ran you off, but to hear you say those things makes me love you more Cadence. I am so glad you came into my life."

He kissed me and I kissed him back with so much love and passion. I had to let him know no one was running me off from the man I love and the family have gained. They maybe be dangerous and maybe a little insane but that is what made me love them even more, in all honestly I feel safer around them. They protected their own, and I am glad I fell into that category.

The rest of the day went fast, I closed the garage and went in for a drink. What I saw made my blood boil, some bimbo was on my man. He was pushing her away but she wasn't taking the hint. I needed to school a bitch real quick, so I walked up to her grabbed her hair and slammed it into the bar. Then lifted her head to be leveled with my face and said,

" Back the fuck off my man or next time it will be my gun in your face. He's off limits understand?"

She nodded her head and walked away. Tig then grabbed my face and kissed me.

" Be my Old Lady? I know it's only been a couple of months but I know in my heart you belong to me."
" Yes Alex I will be your Old Lady, it's will be an honor."
" Also get my Crow?"

I agreed to that as well. So we went into our dorm and Happy did the Crow for me and it was absolutely gorgeous.

He told me I held the keys to his heart. I was at a loss, this man who I knew was a dangerous man, but showed me his good side was poring his heart out to me and I loved him even more. I knew we were taking a big step here and I was willing to go anywhere with this man.

" I love it Alexander and I love you."
" I love you to Cadence."

I thanked Happy and he left. I laid in bed with the man I loved and I wasn't changing it for the world.
