[ELISA]

Elisa sat on the edge of Talia's bed, watching her friends who were sound asleep. She herself couldn't fall asleep and had sat scrolling through her phone for a few hours. It was six in the morning now and Ally shot up from where she was sleeping on the couch, looking around wildly.

"Um Ally are you okay?" Elisa asked, though she received no response, as the girl breathed heavily. "Did you have a bad dream?"

"Fine." Ally said, nodding her head though Elisa didn't believe her. "Totally fine. What time is it?"

"Six thirty." Elisa replied. "You sure you're okay."

"Yeah." Ally said, though she paused. "No, no I'm not okay. I had a dream, you know one of those dreams Maddie has? I haven't had one of those in awhile." She shook her head. "Anyway, I was with Maddie on the island and she was captured! Isn't that terrible? Well she didn't quite see me, which was quite odd. But I guess I haven't mastered the art of dreaming. So anyway she was talking to her sister! Did you know she had a sister? I did but I only heard about her from the Mad Hatter."

"Ally, you ramble when your nervous." Elisa noted, though Ally shook her head.

"Me? Ramble?" Ally laughed hysterically. "I'm not rambling."

Elisa took hold of her shoulders, willing her to look her in the eyes.

"Hey." Elisa said, as Ally met her brown orbs. "You're okay. Maddie will be okay. The VKs have a plan and they will get her back here safe and sound. There's nothing to worry about."

Elisa didn't feel happy to say that everything would be fine even though she didn't know if it would. She didn't want to instill false hope but she didn't want to worry her friend anymore than she already was.

"Tell me your dream and maybe you'll feel better." Elisa encouraged.

"I think you would be better off not knowing." Ally shuddered. "There was lots of threatening and lots of making fun of each other but I think Maddie will be fine. Quinn didn't seem like she wanted to kill her. But anyway it's seven thirty, somehow and we need to get breakfast before eight or we'll be late for class."

"Help me wake up Talia and Annalina." Elisa said, dropping the subject.

Waking up Annalina wasn't hard. All they had to do was tap her shoulder and she bolted upright, beaming brightly. Talia on the other hand was much harder to wake up. They tried pushing her off the bed, poking her awake and shaking her. When that didn't work, Elisa placed her hand on her shoulder and froze it.

Talia bolted upright, looking around quickly before rolling her eyes.

"Unfreeze me Elisa." Talia said nonchalantly.

"Sorry." Elisa said, doing just that. "You wouldn't wake up."

"Just because I didn't want to wake up, doesn't mean you have to give me hypothermia. Fairies are fragile."

"Your also part genie so you have nothing to complain about." Annalina said, coming out of the bathroom. "Now get up Tals, we'll be late."

Talia grumbled as she stood up and walked toward the bathroom, coming out five minutes later.

"Let's go." Talia said. "My first class is with FG all alone. By myself."

"All alone and by myself mean the same thing." Annalina said, pushing Talia out the door. "Now get going. We don't have time for breakfast now. Thank you very much Talia."

"You know Annalina may be peppy and all." Elisa said. "But she can't live without coffee."

"Really?" Talia asked sarcastically. "I hardly noticed."

"You hardly noticed?" Ally asked. "She's very rude right now." Talia gave her a look. "Oh you were being sarcastic. My bad. Well I'm off. I'm going to get Annalina some coffee and I'll see you two later."

Talia and Elisa walked through the halls, stalling their time of getting to class. Elisa had finally left Talia and had gotten to her English class, sitting down in the back as the teacher went on and on about their lecture.

Elisa could hardly focused, all the things she had been worried about coming to the top of her mind. Had her parents already divorced? Was Maddie really going to be okay? Would the others save the day?

The questions swirled in her mind and she didn't know the answer. Worrying was hard. She didn't want to worry. She didn't want to go over what ifs. She didn't want to doubt herself and make it even worse. Her worries went through her mind, flashing scenarios that could've happened,

How hadn't she noticed Maddie wasn't okay? Why had she left when she needed her? Maddie had been at her breaking point and they had left her alone with her thoughts. They had let her instill doubt in herself. They had let her go down that rabbit hol. They had abandoned her when she needed them most.

And now she had been kidnapped by her estranged sister. Now she was in danger and it was their fault. Now she was trapped away from them and it was their fault. It was their fault, not Maddie's. They hadn't noticed she wasn't okay. They hadn't noticed that she only needed one last thing to tip her off the edge.

Then she began thinking about her family situation. They could still be family even if her parents weren't together, right. Her mother had told her that there was a reason that the two couldn't last. That something from her past had come back to bite her. Whatever that meant, she had no idea.

Maybe her mother would tell her one day. Maybe she wouldn't. Elisa wasn't sure but she would let her mother tell her when she was ready.

"Elisa Frost to Fairy Godmother's office, Annalina Bjorgman, Ally Kingsley and Talia Bell as well." The person on the PA system said.

The whole class turned to look at Elisa as she walked out the door and she hated it. She much preferred to be left alone. She didn't like attention. She didn't know what Fairy Godmother needed from her but she was sure everything would be fine.
