[HANNA]
Hanna was nervous to return to the Isle, fearing what the others would think of her. Sure, she knew that Quinn had thought she was a traitor, but had dropped the remark after coming herself. Maybe if she spoke to her Isle friends, they'd understand. Maybe they'd help.
What would they gain from it?
What could she give them?
Freedom.
Just like the one she had right now. If they saw that Auradon was okay with having a villain at the helm (then again, some still weren't too fond of Mal, herself included), they'd see that hope wasn't lost.
She tapped her fingers on the wheel of the limo, which Ben had let her drive. It was only herself, Maddie, Quinn and the Barbossa twins. In and Out. It'd be that simple, right?
She doubted it, but she liked thinking of the best case scenarios.
Best case scenario: no one would try to inpeison them or use them as random.
Best case scenario: the Red Queen knew where she kept her staff.
Maddie placed a hand on her shoulder, shaking her from her thoughts. "We're here Hanna, come on."
They had packed light, only taking what they could fit in their mini packs. They weren't planning on staying long.
"Home rotten home," Quinn said. "The quicker we get going, the better the chance we don't have to spend the night here."
"And what would be wrong with that?" a voice said from behind them, though they didn't see anyone. A smile materialized in the air, and Hanna's smile dropped.
"Chelsea," Quinn said. "Long time no see eh?"
"You left,"
"I invited you," Quinn said. "You declined."
"I don't need your pity invite Quinn hun," Chelsea's smile disappeared, her voice growing distant. "Let me just say, the Red Queen isn't in the mood for visitors."
Quinn rolled her eyes, continuing on the path towards her mother's castle. The streets were surprisingly quiet, empty, which sent Hanna's nerves on overdrive. Something was wrong. What was it?
HJ voices her thought, "Where are all the people?"
Suddenly, there were shouts, as stomping footsteps could be heard, a whistle, and then silence.
"Guys," Heather said. "Somethings wrong."
"No shit Sherlock," Quinn whislered, coming to a halt, diving behind a crate, the others finding what they could do to hide themselves. A shadow loomed, pointing down the alley way, leading a group of pirates, was Harry Hook. "They don't usually come this far North, right?"
Heather nodded her head, pressing a finger to her lips.
"Harry looks more insane than usual," Maddie said. "And that's saving a lot."
Harry laughed maniacally, pointing his hook toward the boarded up shops, ordering them to take anything of value.
"Uma isn't here," HJ informed. "So he's free to do whatever."
Quinn pressed a finger to her lips, silencing them, before motioning for them to follow her. She pulled out a hair pin, picking the lock of the Queen of Hearts salon, ushering them inside. As the door was about to shit, a black boot slipped through, not letting it close.
"Hiya," Harry said, grinning like a lunatic. "Fancy seeing you here."
"You know we were coming," Quinn said with an eye roll, waving her hand dismissively. Her attention turned however to the girl holding his arm. "What the fuck—."
"You wouldn't want Sam stresses out would you?" the girl she couldn't quite place asked. "Keep your mouth shut."
Quinn narrowed her eyes at him, "Whatever. You're just throwing away a fucking diamond and picking up a rock. That's on you. I don't need to tell her, karma will get back at you eventually."
She turned away, going deeper into the shop, finding her mother in her little office, staring absently at the wall.
"Maddie," she said, without looking over. "I've been expecting you."
"You have?" Maddie asked timidly, her mother walking to stand in front of her. Hurt flashed in Quinn's eyes, but it disappeared just as quickly.
"Yes," her mother said, her hand clasping around Quinn's throat. "You shouldn't have come here."
Quinn tried to fight out of her grip, her skin turning blue. Maddie reached out and pried her fingers away.
"Why not?" Quinn asked definantly, rubbing her hand over the handprint on her throat.
"I may be insane," the Red Queen said. "But even I know there is no way to bear my sister. With my scepter or not." She waved her arms wildly. "Look at where it's gotten me! I'm a sliver of my former self." She stared intently into her eyes. "But, I know someone who can help you. In Auradon. My old subjects. The people of Wonderland. They were quick to turn on me. I'm sure they'll be happy to do the same to my dear old sister."
"She locked Dad up," Quinn informed. "All the Wonderland citizens are in jail. Don't know who she's leading. But there aren't any Wonderland citizens to lead a rebellion. And she's got half of Auradon on her side so that's great."
The smile fell off of her mother's mouth, "Everyone? My she's completely off her rocker."
"I don't know if we can stop her," Quinn said calmly. "But if you gave me—."
"Us," Maddie corrected.
"Us," Quinn restated with a role of her eyes. "We could at least try."
"Or you could take me with you," her mother said. "And I could take her down."
"And have you come into power again?" Quinn laughed. "Highly unlikely mother. I'm not letting you get my crown. Look at where that got you. Stuck. Here. On the Isle. Left to rot."
The Queen of Hearts smile contorted into a frown, her eyes flashing dangerously. "Hold words coming from the girl who needs my help. With that attitude, you won't be getting the scepter anytime soon."
"Let me guess," Maddie said. "You don't know where it is."
"I know where it is. I know who's protecting it," the Red Queen said. "She did warn you not to come meet me."
Quinn let out an exasperated sigh, "Chelsea."
