Third person pov

Jane's Birthday party was going great so far. Everyone was smiling, having a good time, and taking many selfies, but the birthday girl herself was not having such a great time. She stood at the little alter looking around to see if she saw Carlos, but everywhere she looked, he was not. Many thoughts came to her head, but she remained calm not wanting to think of the worst just so soon.

" Oh Jane." Gene comforted putting his hand on Jane's shoulder." He'll be here soon. Don't worry maybe they got lost or something is holding them up."

" I hope so." She worried.

" Looks like Carlos forgot about your birthday, huh ?" Chad asked walking over like it was nothing which caused Gene to glare at the prince.

" Chad." Gene warned.

Jane smiled however and shook her head." Well, maybe not, maybe he just took the wrong trail or something. Or you know what ? They probably don't celebrate birthdays on the Isle, maybe it's like a cultural thing."

" Oh, yeah. Or maybe he just forgot." Chad laughed." You never know."

" Hey, Chad, look !" Jane said pointing to a group of people." There's people taking selfies. Selfies !"

" Guys !" Chad screamed handing Jane a small water gun." wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Wait for me ! Wait for me !"

Gene and Jane laughed until he looked to Jane." Don't listen to him, Jane. They'll be here soon." He promised when his phone started to go off showing Allie's contact." Look, Allie is calling me now. Must have taken a wrong turn." He explained before moving away from Jane to answer." Hello ?"

" Gene ?!" Quinn yelled and Gene frowned hearing her voice.

" Quinn ? Is everything okay ?" Gene asked when he heard the loud engine of the bike roar." Why does it sound like your on a bike ?"

" Gene ! I need you to head to Evie's and watch Sutton and the kids for me ! Something bad happened and I need to go somewhere real quick !"

" Quinn, of course. Romeo and I will be there in thirty minutes."

" Thanks !" She yelled back while Gene hung up and climbed up the little hill to see Romeo was sitting with some kids and eating a cupcake.

" Romeo ! Ro !" Gene laughed before lightly taking Romeo out of the chair to not have the other kids question." We need to leave ?"

Romeo frowned worried." What's going on ?"

" Quinn needs us to watch Sutton and the kids because she has to do something. I can tell by her voice that something bad is happening. Come on." Gene said grabbing Romeo's hand, but when they turned around, they saw Audrey walk over with the crown and scepter in her grasp. Gene gasped and knew exactly why Quinn and Carlos weren't at the party.

" Did anybody save me any guacamole ? No ?" She asked before looking around to us." It's like someone forgot to invite me. Well, don't be expecting Mal, she's...not feeling herself."

Gene and Romeo looked to each other worried before Romeo spoke." That's why Quinn needs us." He whispered.

" Does that make you sad ? Does it just ruin everything ? Mindless little drones." She snapped." How could you forget what she did to us ? How could you forget that I was supposed to be your Queen ?"

" Time out, okay, okay. Time out." Chad yelled jumping in front of everyone and smiling to Audrey." First off, great new look. I absolutely love feathers. But, hey, before you do whatever you're gonna do, I was wondering if maybe you wanted a...loyal boyfriend by your side ? Partner in crime ?"

" We need to get to Sutton." Romeo whispered.

Gene nodded slowly reaching over and grabbing Romeo's arm." Slowly back away." Gene whispered moving his feet backwards while Audrey was distracted.

" Sidekick ?" Chad continued." Or maybe just a lackey to do your bidding, um, change tires. Or smoothie runs ? Please ?"

" You can be useful." Audrey answered nodding her head." Fine. Stand behind me. Okay. Auradon likes to forget so much. They'll love this. Happy birthday to you." Audrey sang letting a pink smoke out that was slowly causing people to fall asleep." Happy birthday to you."

" Ro, cover your mouth !" Gene whispered taking his blazer off and placing it over his mouth.

" Happy birthday to Jane. Happy birthday to you."

" Audrey." Chad whimpered looking over to his ex-girlfriend a bit afraid.

" Sweet dreams." Audrey said when a twig snapped. She turned only to see Gene and Romeo were still awake." You two !"

" Romeo run !" Gene yelled pushing Romeo forward and running into the woods towards Evie's house.

" Come back here, Brats. !" Audrey yelled flying over to them on a cloud of pink smoke. Gene and Romeo were terrified never seeing Audrey so evil or ready to kill. They slid down a hill before ditching their blazers and running some more. Audrey growled loudly aiming the scepter at a tree and blocking their way.

" This way !" Romeo yelled grabbing the back of Gene's shirt and turning right to by pass the tree. They reached Auradon prep seeing a news reporter was telling everyone the news.

" We have an update. It's what ? It's moving this way ? It is moving this way." The reporter quaked before the camera was cut off by Audrey zapping it. The reporter shrieked like a girl before running away, but he was not fast enough since Audrey turned him to stone.

" Hannah !" Gene yelled seeing the small marching band girl had walked out of the school clueless." Run !"

Hannah looked up confused before seeing Audrey and turned to run, but was turned to stone. Audrey laughed before aiming her scepter at Romeo and turning him to stone. Gene heard the second blast and turned in shocked." Romeo !" He screamed in horror, but knew was his job was and kept running faster this time. He was back in the woods knowing the walk from Auradon prep to Evie's was not that long.

Gene saw the house in clear view and hurried his pace." Sutton ?! Dizzy ?!" He yelled just about to touch the door handle when a cloud of smoke invaded him." Ah !"

" Gene ?" He heard and saw in the corner window where the fashion room was Sutton confused and looking at him." Where's Quinn and Jay ?"

" S..sutton...wait...sutt-" Gene strained, but soon he was asleep like the rest of Auradon.

" Gene ?!" Sutton yelled horrified before hearing lightning strike like last time and the sight of Audrey smirking to the house.

" Nighty Nighty children." She laughed before blowing smoke at the house. Sutton gasped and grabbed his giraffe bookbag knowing this was exactly what Quinn and Jay had warned him about. He ran back to the main house only to see Squeaky, Squirmy, and Dizzy slowly falling asleep.

" Dizzy, wake up ! Wake up !" Sutton yelled shaking the older girl before turning to the twins." Squeaky ! Squirmy !" He yelled again shaking them, but it was no use. He heard a hiss and looked up seeing more pink smoke was coming from the air vents. The little boy gasped before turning on his heels and leaving through the fashion room. He saw the red roses and ran, but coughed seeing the smoke was also surrounding the house.

" Quinn !" He screamed at the top of his little lungs hoping the women would hear, but he yawned feeling very sleepy before collapsing on the floor."Ja..Jay."
