New friends

I woke up to my dad shaking me. "Come on Maria time for school." My dad said helping me sit up. "Hey Dad can I take my crutches with me today?" I asked as he picked me out an outfit. "What for?" He asked walking back over to me. "Well I want to practice walking in the school to strengthen my legs." I said and he smiled. "I see, ok I'll connect them to the back of the wheelchair." He said helping me change.

"Thanks dad" I said with a smile as he was now putting my shoes on me. "Your welcome sweetie now let's get you to school." He said picking me up. He sat me down in my wheelchair and connected the crutches. "Mark are you ready?" He called as he pushed me into the hall. "Yeah coming" Mark called back as my dad sat my bookbag in my lap. "Alright well hurry up breakfast is waiting." My dad said pushing me to the elevator. "Okay" Mark said as my dad pushed me into the elevator.

We got down to the first floor and my dad pushed me into the kitchen as Mark was running down the stairs. I started eating ad Mark walked into the kitchen. "Good morning Dad good morning Maria." Mark said sitting down at the table. "Good morning Mark." Me and Dad said at the same time. We all laughed for a sec and went back to eating.

When we were all done Mark and dad got up to put the dishes in the sink. I pulled myself away from the table and waited near the door. "Hey Dad can we not take the car today school isn't to far away from here?" I asked as he walked to the door. "Sure sweetie I'll walk with y'all just to make sure you're safe." He said pushing me out the door. Mark fallowed behind closing the door behind him.

We headed straight in the direction of the school. When we were close Mark offered to push me the rest of the way. Our dad agreed and moved away from the wheelchair. Mark got behind me and started pushing. When we got to the school Mark let go so I could wheel myself. We all stopped in front of the school. "Y'all have a good day at school ok and Mark please watch over her for me." Dad said and asked. Mark nodded and he gave us both hugs before walking back towards the house.

I looked over to the school and saw vanoss giving me a death glare and the guys behind him looked shocked. I ignored it and headed into the school. Mark walked next to me even though I kept telling him I was ok. He shook his head and continued walking. Jack ran up to us and gave Mark a bro hug. "Hey guys how ya doing this morning?" He asked with a big smile.

"We're doing good Maria is going to try to walk today with her crutches." Mark said and Jack looked straight at me. "Really?" He asked and I nodded. "That's great to hear." He said putting a hand on my shoulder. "Hey Maria." I heard Nogla yell from down the hall. He came running up to me. "Hey Nogla how's it going.?" I asked and he smiled. "Good why did you bring your crutches to school?" He asked with a confusing expression.

"Oh it's so I can walk around without being in my wheelchair today but only for a little bit." I said smiling at him. "That's good you'll strengthen your legs more." He said and I looked up at him. "Yeah but I'm not going to do it till later when I have free time to walk around." I said and he nodded. "Hey Nogla still hanging around trash aren't you." I heard vanoss say from behind us.

I turned my head as Nogla turned around Vanoss and the rest of the crew was behind him even the guys I officially met yesterday was standing there. "No I'm hanging around an amazing girl I don't even know why we were hurting her in the first place but she's been through to much because of us." Nogla said placing a hand on my shoulder.

Jack and Mark were standing behind me so I couldn't see. I turned my wheelchair around and pushed through them. "She looks like trash to me." Vanoss said and Mark was about to punch him but I stopped him by grabbing his arm. "No Mark you'll get in trouble." I said with a stern voice. He nodded and backed up relaxing his body.

"Call me whatever you want vanoss it doesn't matter to me I'm not going to retaliate." I said with a blank expression. He looked irritated with what I just said and walked closer. He stopped in front of me. "Is that a challenge because it sounds like it." He said with a smirk. "No but you take it however you want to take it." I said not fazed with how close he was. He scoffed and walked away.

Most of the crew followed him but some stayed. The ones who stayed is Bryce, Moo, and Ohm. Vanoss stopped and turned towards the three boys. "What are you guys doing aren't you coming?" Vanoss asked sounding annoyed. They all looked at him and back to us. "We're tired of this vanoss we want it all to stop." Bryce said and Vanoss looked mad.

"Then you guys can just join her and your not allowed to sit with us. Have fun being trash with her." Vanoss said angrily. They walked away leaving the boys in shock. "I'm sorry guys everyone is fighting and splitting up because of me." I said upset. "No Maria it's not your fault I was the one who spoke out against vanoss." Bryce said looking over to me.

I sighed and turned back around. "I wish all the bullying would stop I don't know how much longer I can hold everything together." I mumbled to myself but I knew the guys heard me. "Maria what do you mean? Are you depressed? Do you need someone to talk to?" Mark asked bombarding me with questions.

"Mark calm down it's nothing serious just chill." I said looking up at him. He had a concerned look on his face. I sighed and looked down. "It's only a little but yes I have depression" I said tearing up a little. "I never showed it but I felt it. Mom had to take me to therapy so many times because I would wake up screaming in the middle of the night and mom couldn't handle it anymore." I chocked out feeling my tears fall.

I was suddenly hugged by all the boys. Nogla came in front of me and grabbed my hands. "I don't want you feeling this way anymore so I'm going to do whatever it takes to make sure you feel better." He said with a grin on his face. I chuckled and smiled back. The boys let go of me and smiled at me. "Yeah we'll help you through this and everything will be fine." Moo said patting my right shoulder. I looked over to him and gave him a small smile.

"Thank you" I said whipping away my tears. "Come on let's get to class before the bell rings" Ohm said walking around behind me. "Is it ok if I push you?" He asked grabbing the wheelchair bars. "Yeah it's fine I don't think I'm able to push myself right now anyway." I said looking back at him. He nodded and started pushing. Nogla and the others got out of the way before walking next to us.

We got to our first class and my teacher walked up to me. "Maria is everything ok?" She asked and I nodded. "Yeah I'm ok I was just a little upset about something but it's fine now." I said and she nodded. "Ok but remember if you need anything just let me know." She said with a smile. I smiled back and nodded. "Ok I will." I said before Bryce pushed me to the back table where I sat yesterday.

This time I wasn't alone I had Mark, Jack, Nogla, and Bryce sitting with me. Ohm and Moo had to go to their class so we split up earlier. They all sat down and Vanoss gave us all a death glare. I just smiled at him which seemed to anger him more. The four boys sitting with me noticed and looked over to Vanoss and he quickly looked away. "Don't worry about him Maria he's just jealous about who your dad is." Bryce said blocking my view of vanoss.

The bell rang signaling that it was time for class to start. The teacher told everyone that we were starting a new project which means I can join. After all the instructions we started the project. I saw Delirious get up in the corner of my eye. He walked over to us and stood next to me. I looked up at him. He placed a pice of folded paper on my table. I looked down and back up confused. "Read it." He said before walking away.

He sat back down with vanoss and wildcat. I picked up the note and started reading it. ' meet me in private later.' I was confused so I set the note down. Nogla grabbed the note and looked at it. "You shouldn't do it Delirious is the worse out of all of us he worse then Tyler but he keeps it under control." Nogla said side glaring at them.

"Can you tell me why you guys bully in the first place?" I asked looking over to him. "Well it's mainly thoes three the rest of us got roped in because we where all beast friends." Nogla said looking down at his hands. I put my hand on his and he looked up at me. I smiled at him. "You don't have to tell me right now it's ok you can tell me later." I said and he nodded. We worked on our projects the rest of class then the bell rang signaling for us to go to our next class.
