A Dark Feeling

It's been a few months since I had my surgery and David got hurt. The school knows about everything and have been giving mine and David's homework to the rest of the guys. There is a few more days till the beginning of a new year and the beginning of my rehabilitation. Everyone else is out of school at the moment so I wasn't so alone. Right now we're all in the living room watching each other play games against one another. "Alright Maria your turn your playing against Nogla." Tyler said handing me the the controller.

"Don't worry Maria I'll go easy on you." Nogla said and I looked at him with a smirk. "Who said I need you to do that give me your all or are you scared." I said trash talking my own boyfriend. Some of the guys busted into laughter and the other were oooing at what I had said. "Alright then your on I'll try hard." Nogla said moving to his TV. My dad has a specific set up for us. Two TV's back to back on the coffee table. Two x box's, one connected to the tv in front of me and the other one connected to the tv in front of Nogla.

"Alright let's go then." I said starting up a lobby. We are playing cod 1v1 and even though I haven't played it much I've watched the guys play it a lot so I think I got it down. Once Nogla joined I started the game. I spawned on my said of the map as the game began. I pulled my gun out and snuck around the outside of the map. "Where the heck are you Maria?" Nogla asked as he was looking for me. I snuck up to the stairs and hid next to the railing that reveals the lower half of the map. "None of your business you'll find out soon." I said pulling out a sniper and looked through the scope.

I looked around and found Nogla running around with his guard down. I aimed for his head and waited for a second. "Are you hidi....ahhhh!" He screamed as I took the shot in the middle of his sentence. The kill cam was funny. Nogla's body went flying. I couldn't help but laugh. Everyone else was laughing except Nogla. "Sorry Nogla but to answer your question. No I was not hiding." I said while laughing. "What the heck Maria I thought you loved me." He said making me stop laughing.

"I do David it's just a game." I said using his real name. He seemed to calm down a bit then forced back on the game. "This time I won't let that happen." He said as the next round started. "Ok I promise I won't do it again" I said moving my character to the center of the map. "Maria what are you doing you're wide open?" Delirious asked me. I gave him a side death glare then went back to the game. "Oh so she's in the wide open now." David said as I saw his character walk to center.

"Before anyone shoots how about a back to back gunslinger battle we both go back to back and walk ten steps away. The first one to turn and kill the other wins this round and no cheating." I said making my character walk forward slowly. "Alright I'll take you up on that offer." David said walking his character up to my character. "Alright turn around and at ten we both turn around and shoot." I said turning my character around.

"Alright 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9.. Te ahhh David you cheated." I said counting and as I got to ten he shot me. The kill cam was him quickly turning around and shooting me. "That was for hiding." He said as the next round started. "I wasn't hiding I was being stealthy." I said with a little annoyance in my voice. I moved behind a wall and waited for a second but before I could do anything I saw David in the corner of my screen then I was shot. I didn't react or anything I just stared at the tv.

"Maria are you ok?" Evan asked as a new round started. I didn't say anything. I just focused on the tv. I decided to be stealthy again and go up the stairs again. This time David ended up being there and he started shooting but I dodged and ran down the stairs. I went to turn around to shoot him but he shot me killing my character. I clenched my controller and just stared at the tv with a blank expression. "Maria are you ok?" Evan asked again with a little more concern in his voice.

"Someone take this controller away from me." I said calmly. Tyler reached over and took the controller from me. "Thank you." I said backing up my wheelchair. "I'll be in my room if anyone needs me." I said moving away from the tv. I started heading to my room when David called my name. I stopped for a second then continued to my room. When I got in there I pulled myself onto my bed. I laid back and sighed.
