Truth behind the Bullying

We were in second period now and I was being stared at hard core. It was the boy from yesterday Terroriser I believe his name was. In this class Moo and Ohm were in here with us and Bryce had another class. Nogla looked over to Terroriser and he quickly looked away. I sighed and looked at Nogla. "So can you tell me why they bully in the first place?" I asked really wanting to know. He looked over to Terroriser then back to me.

"Ok I'll tell ya." He said leaning his head on his hand. "I'll start with Delirious. He grew up moving from home to home with different family's. His parents died when he was young. He always got in trouble because that was the only way he thought he could get attention. I wish he could be taken in by a nice family that would actually care for him." Nogla said sounding upset at the end. I can see why he felt that way.

"Ok I understand why you feel like that what about vanoss?" I said/asked. Vanoss was in the same class but he had his headphones in so he couldn't hear but I knew Terroriser could but I ignored him. "Vanoss grew up with his dad being an alcoholic and abusive. His mother was a druggie and didn't give two 'shits' ('' means he whispered) for him. Nogla said with a sigh.

"I feel bad for them now what about wildcat?" I questioned hoping it's not as bad as the other two. "For wildcat it was hard for him to adjust. His parents split up when he was really young and his lived with his mother for so long till his mom couldn't help him anymore so she sent him to his dad. His dad isn't physically abusive but he is verbally. Wildcat just wants to run away but we're the reason he stays we all support the three that have been hurt the most." Nogla said and I felt a tear run down my cheek.

All three boys looked at me with concerned faces. "What's wrong Maria?" Bryce asked rubbing my back. "I'm just like wildcat that's how my life went to and to add to that Mark's existence was hidden from me." I said looking down. "I understand how wildcat feels." I said looking back up at the boys. "I'm going to text my dad during lunch to see if I can help them in anyway." I said determined.

As the day went on and we went to third period it was time for lunch. I headed out of the chorus room and headed to the lunch room. Mark was waiting for me with the rest of the guys. I was suddenly stopped by Wildcat and Terroriser stepping in front of me. "Hey Delirious wanted to see you remember alone so we're going to take you to him." Terroriser said getting behind me.

I saw Mark and the guys start heading towards us but I stop them by holding my hand up. I look up at Wildcat. "Ok" I said with no emotion. I looked at Nogla and held up the note to let him know what was going on. He nodded and pulled Mark back to the table with the rest following. Terroriser pulled me back and pushed me to the empty stairwell. "So you agreed to come." Delirious said walking down the last flight of stairs.

"Well I technically had no choice so.." I said staying calm. "Ok thank you Wildcat, Terroriser you can go and I'll catch up to you later." Delirious said and the two walked away. When they were far enough Delirious looked at me. "What did you want?" I asked bluntly. He laughed like a mad man. When he calmed down he walked up to me. "I wanted to talk to you that's all." He said walking back to the stairs.

He sat down so I moved closer. "I wanted to say I was sorry for what happened to you it was my fault you were hit and stuck in a wheelchair." He said looking down. "You know what I'm ok with it. You only bully because your trying to get attention and I understand that. I know how it feels to be alone Delirious and you don't have to be. I was planning on asking my dad if we can help you vanoss and wildcat since you guys are struggling the most." I said and he looked at me confused.

"Why would you do that for us?" He asked and this time I laughed. "I know what it's like to feel pain mentally and physically and I know what you've been through I just want to help." I said and he was speechless. "Nogla told me everything about you guys and your past so that's the reason I'm doing what I'm doing." I said hearing someone walk down the hall.
