Results and Released

When I woke up I saw that I was alone. It was raining outside and I felt drained. I can't lay on my back so I was laying on my stomach. The door opened and footsteps came walking into the room. Nogla walked next to the bed into my view. "Hey Maria glad to see your ok how you feeling?" He asked sitting in the rollie chair.

"I don't feel any pain so I guess I'm good." I said and he looked relived. "You don't feel anything at all?" My dad asked walking up next to Nogla. "No nothing at all." I said as the door opened. "That's because we gave you a morphine shot to keep you relaxed." The doctor said walking next to my dad. "The surgery went well you should be able to get back to therapy soon and you can go home I just need your dad to sign a few papers and you can be discharged." He said handing my dad a clipboard.

"Of course and that's good to hear." Dad said signing the papers. When he was finished he handed the clipboard back to the doctor. "Alright I'll go get the discharge papers and you'll be ready to go." The doctor said walking to the door. "Thank you doctor" my dad said and that doctor stopped. "Your welcome" the doctor said as he continued out the door.

"I'm glad that you're coming home but you might not be able to go to school for a while because I don't want anything bad happening to you since you just had surgery." My dad said sitting back down. "Ok dad but you might want to get a note from the doctor and the guys can get my homework for me." I said and he nodded.

"I'll go ask right now" he said getting up and walking out of the room. Once he left Nogla scooted closer to me. "I'm really glad you get to go home but your going to be there alone while everyone else is at school." He said and grabbed my hand. "I'll be ok I get to look forward to y'all coming home." I said with a smile.

"Yeah and don't worry we'll help you with your homework if you want." Mark said and I nodded. "Thanks guys" I said pushing myself up a little bit. The door opened again and my dad walked in with the doctor. "Alright you're all set to go and you do have a note for school." The doctor said helping me turn over gently.

Nogla got up and helped as well helping the doctor set me in my wheelchair. "Alright you guys get out so I can help her change and we'll be right out." My dad said sitting my clothes on the bed. They all left and the doctor took the iv out of my arm. My dad helped me change into my clothes after the doctor left. When he was finished helping me he pushed me to the door.

"You ready to go home?" My dad asked turning me around so he could open the door. "Yeah can't wait to get back to my new room." I said as he pulled me out the door. He pushed me to the waiting room where all the guys were standing together. Nogla walked up to me and reached out his hand. I gladly took it as my dad pushed me out to the truck.

"Ok since you just had surgery your sitting up front and as for the rest of you; y'all can find a way to all sit in the back but three of you can sit in the back seat" my dad said picking me up. He sat me in the passenger seat as the guys put my wheelchair on the back. Everyone got settled. Nogla, Mark, and Jack sat in the back seats of the truck.

"We need to get your medicine but I'll do that I get y'all home." Dad said as he started driving. A feeling of tiredness overwhelmed me as I laid my head back. "You can sleep Maria I know you're exhausted" dad said as he continued driving. I closed my eyes and quickly fell asleep.

When I woke up we were pulling into the driveway. I was still half asleep when Nogla said something to me. "Maria I've been wanting to ask you something." He said as dad got out of the truck to get my wheelchair. "What is it?" I asked with a rough tired voice. I looked back at him to see a tint of pink in his cheeks. "Uhm never mind I'll tell you later" he said quickly getting out of the truck.

"Do you guys know what that was about?" I asked while yawning. "I'm not going to intrude in his conversation. He'll tell you later." Mark said getting out of the truck with Jack fallowing him. I sat there confused but also groggy. Dad opened my door and unbuckled my seat belt. He picked me up and sat me in my wheelchair then pushed me inside. "Are you hungry Maria?" He asked pushing me to the kitchen.

"Yeah a little but I'm also really tired." I said as he pushed me up to the table. "It must be the medicine they gave you." He said looking in the fridge. "Yeah probably" I said laying my head on the table. "After I get you settled. I have to go finish moving your friends stuff. I have a big u-haul ready to pick up all their stuff and their all old enough to move out so everything should go smoothly." Dad said making me something to eat.

When he was done he sat my food down in front of me. "Alright Mark and Jack are going to stay here so if you need anything just call for them." He said kissing the top of my head. "Alright and thanks dad for everything." I said looking up at him. He smiled and ruffled my hair. He walked away and grabbed the keys. I started eating as Mark and Jack walked into the kitchen.

"Hey Maria how are you feeling?" Mark asked sitting down at the table. "Exhausted but I can't complain I'm not in any pain." I said as I continued eating. "How about after you get done eating we go watch a movie, you can pick the movie." Mark said getting back up. "Yeah sure sounds fun" I said as I continued eating. I finished eating and Mark took my plate.

"Ok let's get going" Mark said pulling me from the table. He pushed me to the elevator and opened the door. Once we were all in I pushed the button making the elevator go up. When it stopped Jack opened the door and got out where Mark followed him pushing me. We made it to the theater room and Mark helped me into a seat. I picked the movie and Mark set it up. After the movie started I felt extremely tired but I stayed awake. Halfway through the movie my eyes were extremely heavy so I closed them and drifted off in a deep sleep.
