Chapter 9 - knowing Knockout escaping back home

Starscream was in the brig and has been for a few days now, he was talking to Ratchet through his bond, telling him what was happening.

The girls were with Knockout, Megatron ordered him to care for them while their mother spent time rusting away.

Knockout took them to see him when he wasn't to busy, he told them not to walk around with out him.

Hannah and Hailey were in his room rate now, Hailey wasn't feeling good so Knockout left them to rest, he kept the door locked so no one could enter his room.

"Why is there a second bed?" Hailey asked.

"How should I know? Maybe he has a roommate?" Hannah shrugged.

"But we've been here for days and no one but him has come in" Hailey said.

"Then ask him when he comes back" Hannah smirked.

They looked to the end table by the berth they were on and saw a picture of Knockout with someone bigger and blue with yellow optics.

"I wonder who this is" Hannah said aloud.

"Could it be a brother?" Hailey asked.

"Wrong" a voice said scaring them.

"Then who is it? Cousin?, father? Boyfriend?" Hannah asked, teasing him with a smirk.

"......his name was Breakdown, he was my best friend and partner in the med bay as well as battle...as well as a mechfriend" Knockout said sadly.

"I'm sorry Knockout" Hailey said sitting up.

"Thanks, slowly I've moved on, still lonely without him, that was his berth....I know he wouldn't want me to dwell on the past or mourn forever" Knockout smiled, handing the girls a box.

"What's this?" They asked.

"Food...and water, figured you'd be hungry by now" the medic smirked as he sat down on the berth.

"Knockout" Hailey looked over to the sports car who was now laying down.

"Knockout?" She called again, they heard light breathing telling them he had fallen asleep.

Hailey shrugged and decided to wait to ask her question, Hannah grabbed an apple and started to eat it, while Hailey found an orange to eat.

Knockout recharging he may be, still smelled the fruit once they were being eaten, one arm came up to lay over his face as he tried to ignore the sent.

Hailey and Hannah smiled and giggled quietly, both sharing a bottle of water, the box had a box of crackers and cookies, five apples and oranges, a bag of grapes and a few bananas.

Then there was the water, five botttles they knew it lasted longer if they drank slowly and shared one bottle a day.

But sometimes there would be some juice to drink to so they went for the juice first if they had it.

Hailey noticed the box had some bread and a jar of jam and a tub of peanut butter, then some lunch meats and cheese.

"He's a nice guy, look at all this" Hailey smiled.

"Ya But, where are we gonna keep it, some of this needs to be kept cold" Hannah said.

"Oh yeah....that is a problem" Hailey said thinking when a knock was heard.

The two looked over to the door to see non other than Soundwave come into the room, he paused seeing the medic in recharge.

Normally no one woke the medic up when he was resting, being so over worked now and then, having no help, the lack of sleep was taking its toll.

He easily walked over to the girls quietly placing something down and motioned them to it.

"A fridge?....but what are we going to plug it into?" Hannah asked eyebrow raised.

"Fridge: fixed to run without 'plugging in' girls: will be able to keep human food" Soudnwave said quietly then left the room locking the door so no one disturbed the doctor.

"Nice....alien powered fridge, lets unpack shall we sis?" Hannah asked, picking the box up.

"Heheh sure, lets put them away, I'll make us a sandwich" Hailey smiled.

(Time skip - next day)

Starscream groaned as he walked down the hall, he was bidding his time until he could leave again.

Megatron thought he broke the seeker back to his side of the fractions but he didn't, the seeker was just pretending to have rejoined him.

Knockout still kept the girl on his request, which the girls didn't mind spending most of the day with the medic, the fridge Soudnwave brought was taken to the seekers old room.

Knockout almost hated giving them up at night but he knew they belonged to the seeker, he adopted them, bonded to Ratchet to become their carrier.

The medic envied him almost, having a lover, a family even if it was human children, he was happy for the seeker his friend but he wished he still had the chance to have been able to have the same thing.

Hailey realized she had started to grow a crush on the medic, she didn't know if Starscream would care or not about it and she was almost afraid to ask him.

Hannah yawned as she sat on the seekers shoulder, dozing off, nearly falling to the ground if the seeker didn't catch her.

"Uhm heheh I meant to do that?" She laughed.

"Nice try, your both going to berth if your this tired" Starscream said leaving his work and ignoring the glare he got from Megatron.

He met Knockout who went to grab the fridge for him and dis secretly handed it to him, the seeker and him then made quick haste to the flight deck.

"Come with me Knockout, you'd be safer with the Autobots then with Megatron, and he'd fall quicker without a medic" Starscream said.

"True, but he could just easily take me back or take Ratchet....I think I'm better here, I mean, like I said before Breakdown" Knockout closed his optics taking a moment.

"Oh Primus sakes Knockout!, he's not coming back, he's been gone for a long time now, his frame would've been destroyed by Megatron himself after that incident with Silas and the dark energon" Starscream frowned.

"I know but....it feels like he's still here" Knockout said.

"He would be where ever you are, I promise" the seeker said softly.

Knockout gave it a quick thought and nodded, they both jumped and landed heavily on the ground.

Taking off for the forest ahead of them, they dove for the trees, hiding in them so they wouldn't get spotted so easily.

"Ratchet are you there?" Starscream said using his comm.

'Starscream?! It's about time I heard from you, what kept you?' Ratchet asked.

"Sorry had to get something special first and bide my time" Starscream said.

'I'm sending a bridge your way' Ratchet said.

No sooner did they cut the call a bridge opened, hand in hand the two walked in, Starscream knew if he didn't pull the medi in he'd never move.

Back in the base now the portal closed and the seeker was tackled in a hug with kisses by the older medic.

Knockout flinched back and ran hiding behind some crates, Ratchet only noticed him when he got behind the crates behind the seeker.

The others all came over and Arcee gave a irritated look towards the seeker, servos on her hips.

"Another con?" She asked.

"Ah ah ah, ex con dear Arcee....I brought him with me, he doesn't belong there anymore, hasn't for some time now" Starscream said.

"Welcome home Starscream....and welcome Knockout, please follow me" Optimus said leading the smaller medic down a hall.

"He's staying isn't he?" Smokescreen asked.

"Yes he is" the seeker said going down the hall to his and ratchets room.
