Chapter 10 Adjusting to life with the Autobots going to miami

Knockout had been silent lately, everyone thought he was being rude or ignorant but in reality he was scared, scared if he said one thing everyone would be mad.

Hailey felt sorry for him, she tried to get him to talk, Hannah tried, and so did Starscream and Optimus and even Miko.

But he refused to say a word, he did what Ratchet asked him to do not making any comments or sarcastic remarks.

"Ok this is ridiculous, say something will you?" Starscream said walking over to his friend.

"......." knockout shook his helm and sighed.

"Oh come on, just say one thing, one little thing" the seeker said.

"Why?" The medic finally caved.

"Why? Because your never this quiet! Your always rambling on about something, your finish, going to a race, something" Starscream said.

"...am I really?" Knockout asked.

".......you've changed" Starscream said sadly.

"Being alone does that" knockout said.

"Your not alone, you have me don't you?" Starscream asked.

"As a friend yes, a partner maybe, but having a mate no" knockout said as he walked away to his room.

"Has losing Breakdown been that hard on him?" Ratceht asked.

"At times, Soundwave and I have tried to tell him plenty of times he'd find a new one" Starscream said as he was hugged from behind by Ratchet.

"Can I go talk to him?" Hailey asked as she looked at the two.

"I don't see why not, just be careful what you say to him" Ratchet said.

Hailey nodded and ran down the steps going after the medic, Hannah watched her go and she smiled.

"That girl has it hard" she smirked.

"Has what hard?" Raf asked.

"A crush...for a certain red mech" Hannah smiled.

"Wait Hailey likes Knockout?" Starscream asked.

".......I'm going to have to talk to her aren't I?" Ratchet asked.

"Of course I'm not being the evil parent" Starscream pouted as he looked over his shoulder at Ratchet.

"Whats wrong with Hailey liking Knockout? I think they'd be a great couple" Miko said.

"And what will happen when and if it comes time for us to leave hm? They'll be broken miserable, and how would they even make a relationship work?" Ratchet asked.

"People find a way and if it don't they discontinue the relationship. Some stay friends while others will stop talking to their ex's" Raf said.

"Fine I won't step in and neither will you! We will let Hailey handle this on her own...unless she comes to us for help" Ratchet said.

"Agreed" Starscream said arms crossed over his cotpit. (I'm having a brain fart lol what's the glass on Starscream called again)

"I kinda want to go shopping somewhere" Hannah said aloud.

"Where?" Starscream asked.

"Miami" Hannah frowned looking at the seeker.

"But....that's where you lost your parents! Why would you want to go back there for?" Ratchet asked.

"It might help Hailey" Hannah said.

Ratchet and Starscream went to get Hailey, asking Knockout if he'd like to join them. Starscream was in holoform, his cybertronian body on the berth in his and ratchets room. Knockout nodded and activated his holoform to join them.

Ratchet activated the ground bridge to open outside Miami and transformed driving through. Starscream was on the passenger seat beside Ratchet while Hannah and Hailey were with Knockout in the spacey back.

Ratchet drove around following the speed limits, Hannah and Hailey looked through the windows and were decided where to go.

"Oh that we went to, remember Hannah?" Hailey asked.

"Hey yeah, can we pop in there?" Hannah asked.

"I don't see why not....where is it?" Ratchet asked.

(Shop)

The old woman looked up when she heard the bell chime he saw two young and familiar girls. She smiled going over to greet them.

"Hello ladies, welcome back" she said.

"Thank you ma'am" Hailey smiled taking her hands.

"How have you two been?" She asked.

"Uh well.....our um heheh parents uh were killed here a little while ago...this man here adopted us and became our dad that one became our mom" Hailey said.

"Really? You don't say....for two men you make a fine couple and I'm sorry to hear about your parents girls" the lady said.

"Uh thanks?" Starscream said with question.

"Pft.....hilarious.." Knockout smiled.

"What about you young man? Anyone special?" She asked.

"Oh uh......um not really" knockout said.

"Of course you do" Hailey smiled.

"Well besides her" knockout blushed.

"That's sweet....if I can be of any help just call" she said.

"We will" they called out to her.

Hannah saw some music CDs and started looking through them while Hailey was looking at some books old and new and some educational.

Knockout stood by ratchet and Starscream, listening to them talk. He looked up to see a painting of the stars and moon.

He walked up to it and really looked at the details. The old lady was smiling at him from
Behind.

"Beautiful isn't it?" She asked scaring him.

"Yes it is...how old is it?" Knockout asked.

"Oh dear I've had that in the shop for over twenty year.....my husband bought it at some auction he went to and it's just sat there waiting for the right home" she said seeing Hailey with an arm full of books she saw the painting and smiled.

Hannah brought some cds over and they both shared the bill. Hannah carrying everything off the counter as Hailey whispered in starscreams ear.

The seeker smiled and grabbed the painting, shocking the medic he followed Hannah out. Hailey pulling him out as ratchet followed behind.

"Have a wonderful day everyone" the lady said.

"Thank you, you as well" Hailey asked.

"Did you buy this painting?" Knockout asked sitting beside it.

"Yes...for you" Hailey said.

"Why me?" Knockout asked.

"Figured you could use a welcoming gift" Hannah smiled.
