Franny's POV
I'm super proud of Kian for actually listening what I had to say in the cabin and actually doing something about it.
It's been almost a month now and Kian has been revamping his lifestyle. He broke up with his girl-toy and moved out in of The House as Crawford agreed to move in since it would be more convenient for his and Corey's channel.
He moved into a nice two bedroom house. He wanted the extra room so I could help him set up a nursery there. He's also going to these pregnancy classes with me once a week. I personally didn't want to go to those but Kian thought it was a good idea, so I agreed. He's really getting his act together and I can definitely see a change in him. He may not be perfect but what human is?
As for relationship wise, out of respect me and Colby have stopped whatever we have going on so we are strictly just friends now. We still talk regularly though and I'd still consider him one of my best friends.
"Penny for your thoughts" Kian said sitting next to me.
I shook my head and smiled softly, "just happy that everything is finally working out" I said.
Kian fumbled with his hands before looking at me, "okay I know the chances of you agreeing to this is low, but do you want to move in?" He asked. I rose an eyebrow at him, "I don't know Kian, we're technically not even together. Romantically anyways."
"I know but I thought it'd be easier if we lived together" he said. I scoffed, "Kian I admire all the work your putting in but don't settle for me because of the baby. If we're together I want it to be organically and not because you felt pressured because you have a baby on the way. I don't want a shot gun wedding or anything. We don't have to be a traditional couple, I'm okay with that" I reassured. "I'm sorry that came out wrong" Kian said. "No, it's fine. I understand. I should go now though, I'll see you tomorrow" I said walking out of his house.
——— KIAN'S POV———
There I go screwing everything up again. Of course she wouldn't want to move in with me after I practically ghosted her for months and was hooking up with other girls while she had to step up and be the responsible parent for our baby. It was too soon for her, I feel stupid for even asking.
I groaned and put my head in my hands before getting my keys. There's one person who can help me put things into perspective because when I make stupid decisions he's always there to clean up my mess, Jc.
It was about a 15 minute drive to Jc's and Chelsey's house. I was about to knock before the door opened on its own. "Oh hey kian, I'm just about to head out. I assume you're here for Jc, he's in the room" She informed me. "Oh okay, thanks Chelsey" I said as I waved to her. "Jc!" I called out. "I'm over here!" He shouted back. I walked to his room and he was just playing games on him computer, "Hey dude, what's up?" He said. "I need to talk to you." He quickly turned around as he could hear the tone in my voice I needed help.
"You look like shit dude" he said bluntly. "Thanks for pointing it out captain obvious, my head is killing me" I said. "Here, take pain killers" he retorted. I groaned, "not literally you idiot. Okay, I'm going to tell you something but you can't tell anyone, not even Chelsey okay?" Jc stared at me fore a moment before agreeing.
"I got Franny pregnant" I said quickly. Jc's didn't even flinch and I was confused. "You're not going to call me stupid? Or a jerk?" I asked confused. "Not at the moment, I kinda figured you were the dad because of how weird you two have been, but yes you are a dumbass for hurting Franny and a dick" he said in an 'as a matter of fact' tone.
I nodded, "I'll take it 'cause your not wrong but I've been trying to change for the better and me and Franny have been on better terms, friends even but then I may have asked Franny to move in with me and ruined everything because it was too soon" I ranted.
Jc chuckled, "oh kian." "You know you're a good person but you have a lot of feelings that half the time you can't process which ends up blowing up in your face, causing you to do stupid things. Honestly, I really have been seeing you try to change but you know what they say, old habits die hard. I'm assuming you want me to help you?" He said. I nodded, "please."
"Well for starters, as a wise man in a relationship giving his young grasshopper advice, you need to talk to her about how you feel and what you want to be with her. Get all sappy talk about where you are right now and where you see yourself with her in the future. Then, actually before, you should get her an apology gift, for being a stupid idiot and then the ball is in her court. If she's still happy and things end well ask her out on a date" jc said.
I scoffed, "easier said than done." Jc shrugged, "don't judge until you'll tried it." I tilted my head, I honestly wasn't in a position to turn down good advice. "True" I said. I hung out with him for about another hour before I left to go get Franny an 'I'm sorry' gift.
I know Franny isn't a flashy girl but she also doesn't mind being spoiled even with the simplest things. I walked around a couple stores before I found the perfect necklace. It was simple, yet stunning. It was a gold chain that would look beautiful against her tan skin and three diamonds to represent our small little family. Besides the necklace I picked up some of her favorite snacks to put in a basket with a bouquet of roses because I know those are her favorite.
On the way to her apartment I thought about different scenarios of how this could go down and I mentally prepared for what I would say. I arrived to her house after a thirty minute drive, welp I guess it's now or never. I got the things I got for her and knocked on her door. Shortly after, she opened the door.
"Oh, hey Kian, whatcha got there?" She asked chuckling. "It's an I'm sorry for everything gift. I know this doesn't magically erase me being a douche to you but maybe this can mark the start of a new Kian? I'm also sorry for trying to pressure you earlier, slow and steady wins the race, I know but you're just so perfect and it's like I was born with a self destruct button" I said.
She leaned her head against the door, "oh Kian, I was never mad at you in the first place" she said solemnly. "Well I was a little but mostly I just hoped you would change your mind and you did. You being here with me on this journey is more than I can ask for" She said.
"So do you accept my apology?" I asked extending the basket into her arms. She laughed, "your apology was accepted 2 months ago. Now get in loser, my ankles are swollen." I gave her a big cheesy grin as I sat next to her on the couch. "Open the box" I said excitedly. She complied and gasped when she saw what was inside. "It's beautiful, Kian" she said. "It represents are weird little family. One diamond for you, one for me, and one for the baby" I explained. "I love it" She said wrapping her arms around me.
We ended up deciding to watch a movie and she fell asleep near the end. I carried her to her room and laid her on her bed so she was comfortable. Once she was cozily secured with a blanket I kissed her forehead, "I love you Franny. I promise not to screw this up" I whispered before exiting the room.
Later that night I received a message from Fran saying "thanks" and that simple word made my heart flutter. Francesca Arrieta, what are you doing to me.
