"Hurrah," Nathan began as they finished up their work and began to walk to the locker room, "The starlet of justice!"

"I was only saying that the lad that she used to go out with was a dick. I was only being nice!" Kelly defended herself.

"Oh yeah, you were being lovely," Nathan said sarcastically as him, Nina, Curtis and Kelly walked into the locker room, "Right up until you threw that chair at her."

They had spent their lunch smoking, laughing and eating on the benches near the river by the Community Centre, their afternoon a stark contrast to the last time they had been there. They talked, threw seagulls some chips and Nina and Kelly both threw Nathan some too, which he attempted to catch in his mouth, dramatically failing each time much like an uncoordinated lap dog. The rest of the afternoon was spent piling up the clothes - Simon still keeping a lookout for any possible intruders in the locker rooms.

"I mean, she was only trying being nice, he sounds like a twat." Nina agreed with Kelly.

"Thank you!" Kelly said in an 'I-told-you-so' way.

"Key word is 'trying'." Nathan said as Kelly shoved him causing Nina to laugh.

"Ow! Do you like seeing me in pain or somethin'?" Nathan asked.

"I can't say I'm not a fan." Nina laughed, opening her locker.

Curtis slammed his locker shut loudly from behind them causing everyone to jump a little. Simon stood shocked and awkward next to him.

"Don't be doing that shit around me!" Curtis shouted at him, "You been in here all day?"

Simon seemed to have a hidden smirk on his face which Nina and Kelly both seemed to catch onto pretty quickly.

"What happened?" Kelly asked.

"Nothing." Simon replied after a moment, giving Curtis a knowing glance, "Noone came in."

Nathan gasped, "That's an anti-climax."

The rest of the group seemed to ignore Simon again after that but Nina decided not to, after all, he had just given up an entire day to make sure everyone involved was safe.

"Are you okay Simon?" Nina asked.

"Y-Yes. Thank you." He replied quietly as he collected his things from his locker.

"Thanks for staying in here all day. I reckon I'd go out of my mind with boredom."

"It wasn't so bad." Simon seemed to smile to himself again, "But it's okay."

"Oh, did you enjoy your afternoon off, Weird Kid?" Nathan seemed to perk up, his ears listening in on the conversation unbeknownst to either Nina or Simon.

"He's got a name, Nathan!" Nina shot him a glare, wondering what his issue was and why he loved to interrupt her conversations so much.

"Yeah, well, he's slacking isn't he? Not an inch of work from him today!" Nathan said dramatically with his hands on his hips.

"He's been in here all day making sure that we all don't end up in jail," Nina started, noticing Nathan was about to open his mouth so speaking up quicker, "And don't even think about interrupting me, ye lanky dickhead! Simon's the only one who seems to want to make sure we don't end up doin' time, so shut ye mouth and be polite. Yeah?"

Nina blinked back a few times, revelling in the brief silent moment whilst Nathan thought of a response.

"She definitely fancies me!" Nathan said to Simon as if Nina wasn't still in the room, a big cocky grin plastered on his face.
