After a year of his death, Tony made the necessary arrangements to anoint Spider-Man as part of his legacy. He created an A.I. inside the lens of his sunglasses named E.D.I.T.H., which allows for complete control of Stark Industries weapons, drones, inventions, and the ability to hack any electronic device. Tony gave the glasses to Nick Fury and later presented the glasses through Talos while he was in vacation.
Once Spider-Man was given E.D.I.T.H., he had used it to protect his allies from former Stark Industries employees, including Mysterio, who had a long standing grudge against Stark for taking credit for his ideas. In the end, Spider-Man thwarted the plans of Mysterio and his accomplices, regaining control of E.D.I.T.H.
