Chapter Four

Sophia POV

One of Johnny's friends Taeyong was asking me to hook him up with Kendra but, honestly I don't think she likes him. I don't think San is her type either. I know for a fact that she mostly goes for guys who look like Jay park. She likes guys with a nose piercing and tattoos.

"You look too innocent for her" I kept telling him.

"But, San doesn't?" He said. "Come on, just-"

"Who are you?" Mingi came up to us out of no where.

"I'm Tae-"

"I don't care" Mingi interrupted him. "Just stay away from her"

"Woah dude what are you her boyfriend or something?"

San walked up to us to see what was going on. I hope he doesn't confess what we've been doing behind closed doors.

"...No just stay away from her" he said walking away.

Mingi POV

"Why'd you confront that guy like that?" San asked. I had to come up with a lie. I honestly don't care if San knows about me and Sophia. I know she's too scared for him to find out what's really going on.

"He was getting too close to her and she looked uncomfortable"

"Oh thanks. I hate when guys do that to her. She hates when I meddle in her business. I'm surprised she didn't say anything" he said.

"Me too. I was scared she was going to go off on me" I lied.

Sophia POV

I apologized to Taeyong before we went into class because what Mingi did was uncalled for. Taeyong meant no harm.

One thing I would say is weird is that a girl named Renee who use to be so nice to me started to roll her eyes at me and give me nasty looks.

I decided to confront her because I didn't do anything to her. If she had a problem with me then we can deal with it.

"Why are you acting cold towards me" I went straight to the point.

"I know what you're about. You act like you're all sweet and innocent but, you went home with Mingi last night" she responded which caught me off guard. I didn't think anyone saw us. Why is she even worried about it in the first place?

"No I didn't. I wasn't suppose to be at that party but, I went anyway because my best friend was there. She ended up leaving me to hang out with my brother. I asked Mingi to get me a Uber. He only came along to make sure I made it home safe. He told me he was going back to the party because he had a girl waiting for him" I lied to her.

"Oh...I'm sorry for overreacting it's just that Mingi and I had a thing over the summer and now he's ignoring me" she told me. "To make it up to you I'll hook you up with Johnny" she added.

I use to like Johnny but, I don't like him anymore. I'm sure he was never into me to begin with.

"He doesn't like me. You don't have to go through the trouble-"

"Renee and Sophia you mind telling everyone what you two are babbling about in the middle of my lesson?" Mrs.Robinson called us out.

"No" we both answered before our teacher got back to the lesson.

After school...

Mingi texted me and asked if I wanted to hang out with him after school and I answered no. I'm still mad about what he did this morning. It was uncalled for and if San wasn't so stupid he would of caught on to what was really going on.

I stayed home and took a nap but, I was disturbed by San and his friends making so much noise downstairs. My phone screen lit up and it was Mingi.

Mingi🤫💕:I'm going into the bathroom come with me

That could get us caught for sure. What is thinking?

I didn't respond. I just got up and left my room. As soon as I closed my room door Mingi was at the end of the hall. He grabbed my hand but, I pulled away from him.

"Did I do something wrong? You've been distant all day"

"Yes, you were mean to Taeyong"

"Are you kidding me? You're mad at me over him? He's a douchebag"

"You don't even know him"

I don't know him but I don't appreciate how close he was to you"

"Mingi you don't own me. Guys are allowed to talk to me. Last time I checked you're not even my boyfriend so I can talk to whoever I want to talk to"

"Ok then you're my girlfriend now"

" no it doesn't work like that. You have to ask me"

Next thing you know, he leans really close to me and whispers in my ear "will you be my girlfriend?"

I wanted to say no but, I couldn't help it. I was backed against a wall and hypnotized by his deep and seductive voice. It didn't make it better when he started kissing on my neck.

Suddenly, someone stood at the end of the hallway and called out for Mingi which made Mingi back away from me
