Have you ever been so anxious to go to school you want to fake ill.

That was me when I was starting back to school.

THROWBACK TO STARTING SCHOOL

"Clarice, it's time to wake up you have school today" Mum smiled as she tickled my feet.

"Alright um, i'm up" I told her before sitting up.

You see I had been up all night until 5 worrying about what other kids would say

"Get ready" Mum told me as she saw me just sitting on my bed

"Yes mum" I replied

I knew for a fact I wasn't ready to go back to school but how do you tell your parents that.

Anyway I climbed out of bed, went to the toilet, brushed teeth and put my uniform on before going downstairs to my mum.

"Mum my stomach hurts" I spoke as it was nearly time to go.

"Your just scared don't worry you will be ok" Mum told me

"Come on you're going to be late" Mum added as I grabbed my lunch and bag before leaving the house with my brother Arlo

First lesson was form so we get to know our form tutor.

I realised my old friend from primary school was in my form so that helped me a bit.

"Hey" Georgina smiled

"Hi" I replied

"Are you excited for today" Georgina asked as I shook my head

"Not really no but I can't really tell my parents that can I" I questioned mainly at myself

"That's true, I didn't want to come either" G told me before our tutor came into the room loud and bubbly.

"Gosh she's hyped for school" G laughed

"She's faking it" I blurted out as G just stared at me

The morning went ok until I had to go to class, which made me feel really ill.

"Hey are you new" A lad asked

"No I've been here since year 7" I mumbled

"Oh so your cancer girl" He replied before going back to his friends

So that's what I'm know as at school now the cancer girl whoneeds help.

Great

All my lessons went okay apart from being stared at but I didn't care at least I was trying to get back to normal

But what is normal because I don't know no more.

Mum asked how my day went and to be honest with you it was actually good.

BACK TO NOW

Shame it didn't last long.

It turned out I hated school so much but I'll  save that story for another day because it is a long story.

Let's just say normal isn't my thing at all.
