"Death comes to those when you least expect it." As the audience murmured around the auditorium Anne could feel the energies of her students fuelling and energizing the very air she breathed, "From Demons and Ghouls to Restless spirits. We are surrounded by the energies of the old." Looking at the timid student in front of her she pointed a thin finger at her. "Sarah, what do you know about the paranormal?" The blonde girl hunched into herself before she mumbled,

"Only what I see on Ghost Adventures!" Anne smiled. How did she know that very television program would be an answer from one of her students,

"Ah yes ghost adventures," Perched against the podium she leaned forward, "and what does Ghost Adventures tell you?" She asked the girl pointedly.

"If you are on a lockdown make sure Zak rescues you." Carrie, another of her more boisterous students announced to the class.

"Well I admit that the lead investigator is very hot," Anne remarked as she turned to start the video of the first-ever episode Ghost Adventures had shown.

Pressing play she watched as her students took in how the lead investigator provoked the Demon at Bobby Mackey's world of music. She stopped the video and looked back at her class.

"Unfortunately this is all for entertainment purposes." She declared as she took in her class as a whole. "This is merely a television show to entice impressionable young adults into a kind of hero-worship of the big, bad lead investigator. The only thing this show does is boost both their bank balances and the television ratings."

Just as she was about to carry on the lecture, the bell rang to signal the end of class.

"Make sure you read the "Legend of the Incubi and Succubi by next week." She reminded her class as they filtered out of the room as she sat on her desk. Once all the class had left she removed her shoes while she opened up her Twitter account.

Although she didn't necessarily believe in what the Ghost Adventures Crew did, she wanted to see if she could get the investigators to come to her class.

However, as they were so big and famous it was hard to get hold of any of them.

She noticed as she scrolled through her phone that the lead investigator Zak Bagans had posted a tweet about being at his museum. She opened google to find the number before she walked into her office where a pile of her student essays was waiting for her to mark. She dialed the number and waited for the call to connect while she made a start at marking her students' last assignments. All these girls and some of the boys where GAC mad as she noticed that nearly every essay mentioned one of the investigators at least once.

"Haunted Museum, Nancy speaking." Anne put on her most professional voice as she started to speak.

"Good afternoon, my name is Professor Anne Lake. I'm the legends, myths and folklore professor at Cardiff Institute. Is it possible to speak to Mr. Bagans please."

She could hear a hushed conversation in the background before the woman began to speak again.

"I'm afraid he isn't here at the moment. Can I take a message?" The woman was stalling as Anne had clearly heard the voice of the lead investigator in the background.

"Yes of course. I'm running a week-long session for my class on Demons, the paranormal and the people who investigate this phenomenon in the first week of October. I've got priests, a couple of local teams and the Most Haunted crew attending. However, I was wondering if the GA crew would like to join us too. If you could give him my name and number I would be most appreciative of either a yay or nay from him." She grimaced as her cockney twang appeared before she rattled off her number. "I'll be up for the next few hours marking my students' papers if he would like to ring me for more information."

"No worries Hunny I'll make sure he gets the message." Stating her thanks she hung up the phone as she started marking the papers in front of her.

Nancy looked at her son as he leaned against the counter filling out some paperwork on some new inventory. Almost as if feeling her eyes on him he looked up,

"Another crazy fan?" He asked as he laid down the pen.

"No, it was a professor from Cardiff institute. She wanted to know if you and the crew wanted to attend a seminar she is running." She remarked as she picked up the post-it note with her name, number and the institute on.

"I'll see if Jeff can figure out if this is real or not." He said as he went to welcome the next tour group in. He smiled and posed with pictures with some of the fans however Nancy noticed there was still an air of sadness around him. At 42 he should've been settled down with a wife, but his job and fame made that nearly impossible. Sighing wistfully she looked once more before turning back to the computer screen, maybe one day she would have grandchildren from him.
