"Hey, how have you been doing?" Namjoon asked. Jeongguk rolled his eyes. "Still the same as last week. You don't have to ask me that every time, geez," he said.
"Well, I will ask you that every time because a lot can change in a week," Namjoon replied.
Jeongguk fidgeted with his fingers under the table. "How about you? How have you been doing?" he asked, still avoiding Namjoon's gaze.
"I'm fine," Namjoon said, scribbling something in his notebook.
Jeongguk looked up, annoyed. "What do you even write in there? I told you, nothing has changed," he said.
"I don't always need words. Sometimes body language is enough," Namjoon said, looking up from his notebook.
"Have you used any alcohol or drugs since the last time we spoke?" Namjoon asked, his gaze intense.
Jeongguk looked around the room, avoiding Namjoon's stare. "No," he lied. He hated these therapy sessions because Namjoon asked too many questions.
"Are you sure?" Namjoon asked, not convinced by Jeongguk's nervous behavior.
"Yeah, I'm sure," Jeongguk said, finally meeting Namjoon's gaze.
"Okay then," Namjoon said, but he knew Jeongguk was lying. "So, what have you been up to this week?"
"Not much, just had a good fuck a few days ago," Jeongguk said with a smile, surprising Namjoon with his bluntness.
"Oh, okay. Was this a nice girl?" Namjoon asked, a little awkwardly.
"Not a girl. I'm gay," Jeongguk said, a little irritably.
"Oh, okay. Was it a nice boy, then?" Namjoon asked, trying to recover.
"Yeah, he had a nice dick," Jeongguk replied, causing Namjoon to frown slightly. "So, are you interested in this boy?" the therapist asked.
Jeongguk chuckled. "No, I know for a fact I'm not interested in Taehyung, even though he's super hot. He's just not my type," he said.
"And why is he not your type?" Namjoon asked, secretly pleased that Jeongguk was finally opening up a little during their session.
Jeongguk hesitated. "I don't know. I just know that I'm not interested," he said, avoiding the question.
"Okay then," Namjoon said, not believing Jeongguk for a second. He knew Jeongguk was a bad liar.
Namjoon and Jeongguk talked for another half hour, with Namjoon doing most of the talking. As they finished the session and walked back to the waiting area, they saw Jin still waiting.
Jin stood up and followed Namjoon back into the room, leaving Jeongguk behind in the waiting room. Jeongguk couldn't understand why Jin would want to talk to Namjoon.
Jin sat down in Namjoon's office. "So, what did you want to talk about?" Namjoon asked.
"About Jeongguk's behaviour lately" Jin said to Namjoon.
"I can't really tell you much about him because of privacy laws," Namjoon replied, looking sympathetically at Jin.
"But you can give me some advice, right?" Jin asked, looking helpless.
"Where do you need advice?" Namjoon asked.
"Jeongguk just lost it again. He's back to his regular drinking and drug use. I really thought that after the incident last month, he would stop," Jin said, tears welling up in his eyes as he brushed them away. "I tried talking to him, but he just won't listen. I don't know what to do anymore," he added, his voice shaking.
