Monopoly

Delanye POV

I come back from my break and the  moment I walk in I was put into a tight hug by Colby,

"Ms.Thomas," He says as he slowly loosens the hug

"Colby I was only gone for 2 hours"

"I know but I was so lonely"

"No shit, there's nothing for you do so I decided to bring you guys a board game" I say as I pull out monopoly, Colby's face lightens up, Has he never played Monopoly before, I set down the game and I begin to set it up, once I set it up I call the boys over.

"What's this" Jake asks

"Its called monopoly,  Ill explain how to play" after I explain how to play, we begin the game.

halfway through the game, a fellow nurse calls me over

"Yes, Mrs.Selo?"

"What are you doing with those boys?"

"What does it look like? were building a bomb? No were playing monopoly, if you got a problem with that go talk to Dr.Deggins" She looked furious, like she was about to scream, instead she nodded, I went back to the boys, I wasn't waiting for her to say something stupid back, when I get there I realized the boys were waiting for me because it was my turn,

"I told you, you don't have to wait for me"

"Yea, but that would've been very rude to just miss your turn," Jake says, why are they actually caring and being nice, I was told they were dangerous and reckless, but this doesn't look dangerous or reckless, we kept on playing until Sam beat us all,

"Sam cmon I was soo close" Corey whined, we all laughed, this was one of the best moments in my 2 years working at asylums,

"Wanna play another round?" I ask, smirking, but then the intercom came on,

"All patients back to your rooms," Dr.Deggins said, all the guys groaned,

"Why are you so upset? its not like you're getting any medication" I whisper to them and they smiled at me, I bring Sam to his room first because you can't leave the activity ward without a nurse, Once I get Sam to his room, he sits on his bed and relaxes, knowing that I'm not giving him medication must've relaxed him, I head back to the ward and I get Corey and bring him to his room, once he is in his room he asked

"Are you really not getting us medication?

"Yes, why would I? you guys arent dangerous or reckless, those idiots just thought you were" he smiles at me as I'm closing his door, I head back to the ward and I grab Jake, obviously startled cause I scared him, he then laughs at him

"Ms.Badass you scared me," he says, once I get to his room I set him down at his desk, he looks confused,

"I'm going to change your bedsheets okay? they look dirty as hell" he smirks at me, I leave his room to go get Colby, I bring Colby to his room and I get him to lie down, he looked tired, as I'm leaving his room, he starts talking

"Delanye?"

"Yes, Colby?"

"Why do you think were "Normal" ?"

"Because you've been here since 15 and you look all innocent and I just don't understand why they can't let you go"

"Because we're bad, trust me"

"I'm sorry I can't trust you because you aren't bad," I say in Siri-like voice, he laughs at my voice,

"Ill be back Colby"

"Promise?"

"Promise" I say as I'm leaving to go get their "medications" , once I give them their "medications", I go and changed Jake's bedsheets and I give him nice and clean ones, I head back to the main office and I play on my phone, eventually falling asleep, but about 10 minutes later I'm waked by the screams of a fellow nurse, and it sounds like its coming from Colby's room...
