Toren smiled broadly at his siblings. He knew that he had done his part and now the prophecy was back on track. Even though the pair had discovered things on their own, he had given them a reason to be together without raising suspicion. "I didn't think that was going to work," Thadeus said shaking his head in disbelief. "All that matters is that it did!" Mila admitted happily. They all turned a surprised glance her way, she was not known for her happy demeanor. She simply turned a brilliant smile their way and ignored their stares. Mira looked about the room, finally feeling at peace for the first in quite a while. She took a deep breath centering her thoughts. "I still think we should watch the matter closely. If Samael and his lot suspect anything it could put them all in danger," she stated hoping to sound assertive. "She's right," Thadeus agreed "but soon I will need to see to our warrior, it won't be easy convincing him to join our cause," he said morosely. The others agreed. Suggesting that he may want to start sooner rather than later. Thadeus thought for a moment, then with a nod left to see his warrior.
Gideon stood admiring the blade he had just completed. His father had taught him that before you could wield a weapon, you must first know how to make it. He had made it his mission to learn all he could about weapons around the world. Traveling far and wide to learn the craft and how to use them. There were few alive that could boast of knowledge and skill such as his. When he had finished his travels, he settled down on a small isle near Elesmyr. Owning his smithy he made weapons sought the world over. His reputation was well known and brought people to his door. He placed the blade in its scabbard and hung it with the other's waiting for the man to return to claim it. Hearing footsteps on the gravel path, he went to greet his visitor. The sight before him stopped him in his tracks.
Thadeus knew he was a giant of a man, but Gideon was just as large. A rarity in itself. "Hello there, how can I help you?" Gideon's voice carried low and deep. "Well, I need a special favor of you," Thadeus informed him. Gideon wasn't sure he wanted to know what the God had in store for him, but he'd hear him out. "You know who I am," Thadeus said stating the obvious. Gideon nodded his head "Only a fool of a blacksmith wouldn't recognize you, Thadeus God of the Earth and rock," he said as reverently as he could. "That just makes this easier then. Here's what I need you to do. You're going to move your forge and smithy to Elesmyr. There you will take your place in a great prophecy beginning to unfold," he told him directly and to the point. Gideon couldn't help his wide-eyed stare. "You must be joking," he told the God. Thadeus considered things for a moment. "Let's start at the beginning shall we?"
Gideon sat silently listening to Thadeus' explanation of the prophecy and his part in it. The more the man talked the more the idea appealed to him. It was almost as though he knew in his heart that he was destined for this. He had always known he had a gift, but now he understood the drive behind obtaining his knowledge. The Gods had a purpose for him. Thadeus finished speaking, watching Gideon trying to gauge his response. He was surprised greatly by the man's next words. "Build my forge and with the knowledge you give me, I'll make our little girl the best weapons this world has ever seen," he stated bluntly. Thadeus stared at him blankly not knowing what to say. "You'll do this for us?" he asked again just to make sure. "I always knew there was a purpose in this life for all I had learned. Many over the years told me that my gift was a blessing from the Gods. I never believed that until now," Gideon told him the truth of his words ringing clear. Thadeus smiled "Give me a month to set everything into place before you arrive. That should give you adequate time to settle your affairs here," he said holding out his hand. Gideon clasped his hand to seal the deal, without warning the God's knowledge of metals and smithing flowed through him. When it had finished Gideon staggered on his feet. Thadeus moved quickly to help him into a chair. Gideon shook his head righting himself only to find Thadeus had already gone.
