Toni's father was nothing like Cheryl had imagined him to be, dark and handsome yes but he was gentle and sweet, qualities that Cheryl would least expect from the father of someone as hard as Toni Topaz, an elite gang member. But Cheryl also noticed similarities between the two, the sparkle in their eyes, the little giggles they both released when finding something partially amusing and of course their compassion and determination which, clearly, Samuel had installed in his daughter in the early years.
Over the past week, the father and daughter had spent hours of quality time together, bowling, working out (which Cheryl was particularly turned on by) and just chatting, catching up on the missed years. Samuel had brought a side of Toni out that the redhead had never seen before, a complete Toni Topaz.
Although Cheryl loved seeing her girlfriend happy she couldn't help but feel sidelined, she felt Toni had put her on the backburner. They only saw each other at school and in bed and hadn't had sex ONCE since the man arrived, the girl has damn needs.

Was what Cheryl scribbled across her chemistry notes, not very productive for a top student at Riverdale High, but right now she had bigger priorities than keeping her flawless GPA intact. She missed her girlfriend madly, she wants to go on dates again and cuddle for hours on end while watching friends. There was only one way to do this
"a boat?"
"yes Ronnie, a boat"
"wasn't the last time you went in a boat, the day you left Jason? Are you sure you're ready to go back there?"
"I just want to take her for a nice row then a picnic, is that so much to ask your help for?"
"no, no, of course, I'll help you, you two are like the cutest couple and I want to be maid of honour at your wedding"
"we'll see about that, meet me at Sweetwater River at 3 on Saturday"
"you got it"
and with that, Riverdale's resident rich girl was gone, lost in the sea of students in the hallway. This is going to be amazing she thought
Toni had already headed on a motorcycle ride with her dad by the time Cheryl returned from cheer practise (she had been letting Toni of Vixens duty because, well she loved her) a note written messily but perfectly distinguishable to the redhead sat on the countertop as she tossed her keys down.

Her heart flutters at the simple but so meaningful gesture but also sinks at the fact that Toni isn't here an empty house. Well except from Bear, Samuel's border collie who had also moved into the mansion. Cheryl had never really been a fan of animals but she couldn't deny, Bear was stealing her heart, giving her attention when Toni was out.

So, again Cheryl drowned out the silence with Adele songs, this woman had a song for every situation, 'when we were young' seemed appropriate for this eerie night as she slowly began her night routine, Bear, laying at her feet made her feel somehow safe as she threw her hair up into a scrunchie and proceeded to remove her makeup, humming to the music as she did.
Her bed was lonely without Toni, it was cold too. Ever since Toni moved in she had wondered how she had slept without a human heater for 16 years, how she had managed to slip into sweet dreams when her bed was so empty. Bear wasn't allowed in the bed as per Toni's rule "i don't want him to take my place" so her contently drifted to doggy land on the faux rug beside it. Cheryl couldn't sleep without Toni. She had figured this out from the first night at her trailer but denied it often and tried anyway, tossing and turning trying to find peace in an empty bed.
What seemed like hours later the bed finally dipped and her love slipped into the covers, this woke her up abruptly but she was immediately comforted by the slender arms of her girlfriend slipping themselves around her waist. A kiss on her neck "hi baby" warmed her right up. "i missed you" she croaked cuddling into Toni's chest. "i'm sorry baby" she said kissing up her neck "go back to sleep, i'm here now" and with that the couple fell into a deep slumber, each safe within each others grasp.
