"This is... Definitely demonization," He whistled, using a mope end to pull up his shirt, a good, safe, ten feet away.

"He's not changing," I pointed out sharply, glaring at the elites that were currently present and ready to kill him.

"That isn't," The professional agreed, getting a glare from his bosses while he just rolled his eyes and took a careful step forward. "I wonder why,"

"You're the professional!" Snapped the still easily angered fire elite while I just shoved passed the nurse to properly rip open his shirt. The smooth glossy veins pulsating with the beat of his heart as I frowned. They were familiar. I'd seen them somewhere. But where...?

"Lilith get away from him, it's dangerous," called the light elite I ignored, trying to remember just where I had seen them. The flash of a grin and mismatched eyes filling my memory as my eyes widened. Vixen.

Her hands. They had the smooth shiny texture like the skin of a demon. But it faded as it crawled up her arms. Turning I quickly crawled onto the bed, straddling him as I fully removed the shirt ignoring those to hesitate to approach him. A sword manifesting in my arms as I raised them, thrusting down with all my weight only for it to shatter with my hope.

He was the same as her. Part demon. Grinding my teeth I crammed the shards of hope back into a bloody ball while I grabbed the wire collar around my neck glaring down at him. A fine beautiful key manifesting with magic not my own in front of me. Snatching it out of the air just as it started to fall I slamming it into his chest just as aggressively as the sword.

This time it pierced him, his eyes snapping open as he cried out and I pulled it free with a huff, climbing off him to point at the nurse. "He's conscious, figure out what's wrong," The black blood on the key dripping off while I took a deep breath being quickly pushed aside for questions to fly.

Part demon. How does that even work? Vixen was more dragon than demon... Can one even remain conscious as a demon? Gods dammit! Is there a risk that he'll die? Loose control? Change?

I needed to talk to her. Now.

"I thought I already told you not to-"

"My friends turning into a demon!" I cut her off with a rushed shout, holding the stole crystal to my forehead while my knees remained at my chest. "Not fast... He's... Like you," I whimpered.

"Like me? Sorry dearie but that's not possible, I didn't just wake up one day like this. People turn all the time, give him about ten minutes, he'll be just another monstrosity," Can the cold uncaring reply as I bite my lip.

      "It's been three hours," Silence.

"Three hours? What's he look like?" Taking a deep breath I looked at the room he was in. They hadn't killed him, his family to powerful to do that recklessly, but he was put in isolation.

"He- he doesn't look any different than usual... Just- just the veins, they've wrapped around his heart," I said softly, one of my hands moving to the back of my neck as I put my head against the wall.

"Black slimy little fucks right? Damn... Now I'm all curious, how are his eyes? Actually, tell me about the brat, is he a water user? Fire? Wind?"

"Duel..." I called as I heard a surprised choke.

"Duel? You're serious? We're hunted for sport and he just decides to sign up for some glorified hell? Actually... If he's a duel user than that just might be why... Listen here doll, your little friend was likely doped up with some demon blood, not fun by the way, hurts a fuckton, but see who was around him. It takes seconds to kick in but you need a lot to be like me,"

"If he's not a demon yet his bodies fighting it off to the best of its ability but don't go getting your hopes up, now, if you want him to live, listen up, I've got a cute little potion that'll keep him alive for the hellish- or, sorry, blazenish pain he's going through,"

"Don't be shocked if your little boyfriend makes a devilish turn,"
