When Jennie finally awoke, it was in the middle of night. A cold sweat covered her body, and she felt tired and hot. Instantly a flashing throb of pain spread across her abdomen, and the realization hit her.
Oh, she hadn't dreamt any of that.
Someone from EXO had stabbed her. She couldn't have recognized who they were, the white mask they had worn covered much of her face excluding the eyes. It had been a girl though, strange enough. As if Baekhyun had been trying to mock her.
She couldn't kill someone, but have another girl try to kill her.
"You think your prince can continue to save you?" She had laughed. "V has more important things to do that let you weigh him down. Why don't we help him with that?"
"Jennie?" Lalisa sat up straighter, letting our a small exhale. "Jennie, you okay?"
"It's a trap. B-Baekhyun is setting up a trap for Taehyung. A-All these little acts of violence, he's trying to distract V from his real plan. Tae thinks Baekhyun is only going to act out of reckless violence, but he's been planning something out this whole time."
"Jennie." The other whispered. "You need to relax and sleep."
"No!" She tried to sit up, but to no avail, the brunette flopped back down to the mattress in pain. "Lisa...I think he's known this whole time that you are his sister."
A soft silence passed, the blonde sat back down next to her bed. Jennie closed her eyes again, but she was just trying to calm the many racing thoughts in her head.
"Taehyung needs to think of a plan soon. If not..." The brunette eyed warily. "He'll lure you two into his hands, and kill you both."

"So...you're the Kim Taehyung that Jennie speaks of."
"I am."
"And you got her involved in your life of violence and danger."
"Not voluntarily..." Taehyung winced. "but yes, I did."
"And she's working as a medic for you? Did you not realize the kind of problems this would bring?"
"I was well aware. And I was very against her joining in the first place. But once she agreed, I couldn't say no."
Taeyong was angry. He hardly got angry, never like this. A lot had hit him in one night. He met Bangtan's leader, found out that he was Jennie's supposed lover. Jennie worked as a doctor for him, and because she was romantically involved with a gang leader she was a very hot target?
Not to mention, he had seen Kang Seulgi with Jennie. It didn't take much for him to put the pieces together. And suddenly everything made sense.
To think, this whole time Lisa and Jennie had been keeping all of this from him? What was he even to them? Did they not trust him enough?
Disappointed was much of what he felt, but also offended and betrayed.
"You know all these bad things could happen...and you still let it?" Taeyong let the hot air slip from his mouth, running a hand in his hair. "I don't get it. There had to have been some way you guys could've possibly been in a relationship without getting any of this involved. Why did you even think she would be alright here?"
From the way Jennie had described Taeyong, he seemed to be a pretty lighthearted guy. She said he joked around a lot, and that him and Taehyung would get along well.
Right now, it felt like Taehyung was looking at a mirror.
"Normally, I would gladly support Jennie in her relationships...she hardly finds time for them anyways, so seeing her around other guys who actually deserve her make me feel at ease."
"But this one," His dark brown eyes didn't seem to be angry anymore, just sad. "I'm not so sure I can stand by it."

Jennie was tense, waiting for the moment when Taeyong would finally come back into her room. The two hadn't spoken a word since he stitched up her wounds. But even from his absence in the room, she was sure he was angry.
Taeyong's anger was one of the things that scared her. But then again, the most cheerful souls had the darkest anger.
He didn't show it often, but when he did...Jennie didn't like it see it. And never had it been directed at her. But there was a first for everything.
When the door creaked open, Lisa was the first to look over. Jennie noticed her visibly tense. The brunette closed her eyes, praying that she wouldn't say something she would regret.
"How is she?" Taeyong asked, shutting the door behind him.
"She's in pain, but okay. She woke up an hour ago."
When she made eye contact with Taeyong, she knew she was in far more shit with him than she anticipated. His eyes were stone cold. He was more than angry.
"Taeyong—"
"Stop." He interjected. "I didn't come here to listen to what you had to say. I came here to say what was on my mind before I leave."
"You're leaving?"
"How can I stay in a house with a girl I hardly know anymore?" He shook his head. "Jennie, I could've handled this had you told me once it began. I shouldn't have to find out all of this once it starts tumbling down on you! And who told me that you were a gang member? No one! No one told me! I had to figure it out as I was trying to figure out how to give you stitches."
"Both of you have kept me out of the loop on this for god knows how long. Do you even know how that makes me feel? You probably thought I would want to get involved? Well, you were certainly wrong. I wouldn't have, but I wouldn't have stopped you either."
"But you," He laughed under his breath. "Jennie, I did not expect this from you. We never hid things like this from each other. Here I was, this whole time, telling you all of my problems with Seulgi and how I didn't even know who she was, when I clearly didn't know you either!"
"You and I were very clear to each other about not keeping secrets from each other. And you broke that promise. So i can't promise I'll be here for you either."
a/n: don't be mad at taeyong :( if you look at things in his perspective, he has reasons not to support them
