Jisoo gasped as soon as her eyes saw a tall figure standing outside Chaeyoung's door. She immediately hid herself but peeked, hiding her body behind the wall, observing what her cousin is doing.
"What the hell are you doing there, Chanyeol?" She whispered to herself, somehow doubting her cousin especially at this hour of the night.
There's still a light emanating from below her door which meant that Chaeyoung is still awake so it wouldn't seem that he's planning on something against the girl. But why this late at night?
She somehow want to catch him red-handed given his crime in the past but still, she prays that he wouldn't do anything stupid.
He was quiet and was staring directly at her door. However, she noticed he was holding something when he lifted his hands have a look at the object.
A single, white rose.
When she realise what it was, a soft smile formed on his lips before humming softly, "Awe..."
A peace offering perhaps? The thought made Jisoo all giggly.
He was about to knock at the door but then, he hesitated. A long escaped Chanyeol's lips as he felt shriking, feeling cowardly once again.
The rose reminded him of her, of how delicate and pure she is. But even of he wanted to give it to her himself, he couldn't seem to do it by showing up.
It caught his attention that evening as he passed by the garden after drowning himself of work with a little alcohol to get his mind off his guilt and shame. Despite not seeing her for days, he knew exactly how it resembles her.
How could he forget how beautiful she is?
The bud that has bloomed beautifully was of her pretty face, especially the smile that had put him at ease.
The bright white that stood out beyond the dim light was of her beauty's radiance as she caught his attention even if she stood in a sea of flowers.
She was that beautiful in his eyes that it had completely fazed him from the price that was a lie.
How he wishes his confidence was like of that night, now that he stands in front of her door.
But picking this rose also reminded him of his crime. The flower is just as delicate as her.
He first admired it's beauty before he picked it off, just like how he had taken her from her home. And now he holds the flower in his hand, thinking of how he took advantage of it's helplessness. In a few days, it will wither because he took it's life.
His hand retreated and he stepped back with all these in his head despite wanting to talk to her
Chanyeol knew he can't be forgiven but, it hurt more than he had expected when she ignored the apology.
Being snubbed isn't even a good punishment, but it still hurt.
Showing his face is shameless after he took advantage of her. He can't even look her directly in her eyes so he avoided crossing her path when she finally left the confines of her room.
Jisoo quickly run at the end of the adjacent hall when Chanyeol turned to leave and as soon as she knew he's gone, she went to Chaeyoung's room.
She opened the door after knocking, "Still awake?"
Chaeyoung was just getting ready to sleep. Jisoo checked on her as she always did every night. The girl's doting gesture towards her had somehow made her feel at home.
