It was the first time that she felt really broken beyond the countless times she's been hurt.
She thought he was all the good things and the morning that would separate them is just a temporary distance. She thought the name he bears would brings her no resentment, anger nor hate.
Chaeyoung thought Chanyeol felt the same as the gentle kiss they shared made her feel so.
But the hand that held her tightly, the glare of hatred in his eyes and the words of threat that he spoke broke all the good things that made her happy.
She was happy in the briefest moment and it all crumbled down just as quickly.
Chanyeol almost changed his mind the moment she looked distraught and almost tearing up. The look in her eyes almost fazed him. But pain and anguish had blinded him from what could've been a dreamy story of how love will blossom.
He liked her for a moment, but it was gone in an instant.
Pain is stronger and it overcomes the feelings that would've truly absolve him. He let go of that attraction and held her tighter, thinking that seeing the other side distraught and broken, like he is a better reward.
"Let me go, please." Her pleads were calm as she tries to get her wrist back but with one pull, she fell onto him and a funny smelling cloth instantly covered her nose and mouth.
The angel fell gracefully onto his arms seconds after that piece of cloth, drenched in a liquid took her consciousness.
He looked at the unconscious angel's beautiful face as he held her, adoring her perfect features and imprinting it in his mind. But all these beauty will be wasted by just being born on the wrong family.
"What a waste." He sighed as his thumb caresses her soft, rosy cheek until it found her lower lip that seemed to be inviting him again.
A smirk crept on his lips for not for long, he will taste these sweetness again. But the smirk quickly disappear the longer he studies her face.
She looked so pure and innocent and his heartbeat is making him think twice. He knew what he's about to do is wrong but he had done a lot of bad things and they're most rewarding everytime he wins.
But why does it feel that he'd be making the greatest mistake of his life?
"What took you so long?" His brother asked as soon as he saw Chanyeol approaching them with the wingless angel on his arms.
"Taking her by surprise will cause a scene. She'll struggle and scream so I needed to gain her trust." He explained while eyeing the wine bottle his silver-haired brother, dressed in a vampire costume, "Besides, you look like you're enjoying yourself."
"Gotta give 'em credit, bro. They got good wine." He wiggled his brows as he opens the door of the car's backseat for the taller man and the damsel in his arms.
Jimin had always been supporting Chanyeol with all his endeavors and goals for the sake of their family as his older brother had looked after him along with their younger brother when their father disappeared out of thin air.
Despite the arguments that he and the older shared, they would always meet in the middle and help Chanyeol work things out.
Even he had never fully agreed with Chanyeol with anything, Jimin is in favor of taking revenge. He too was blinded and his anger grows everyday that he misses their younger brother's smile.
They both had the same goals: make the enemy feel what it's like to mourn the loss of a dearly loved one.
"Wow, can't believe they've been hiding this beauty all these years." Jimin shake his head upon having a closer look on Chaeyoung, already regretting the pretty girl's fate in their hands.
