The cold atmosphere of my office sends chills all over my body. The reason for that, was because I removed my suit coat and propped it on the futon to the side. Curse that Zamasu for making me wake up so early today. Normally, I go in at nine a.m., but today he had so kindly asked me to come early. As if I didn't have anything planned. I didn't—but that's beside the point. I'm accustomed to my usual bed schedule, and here goes Zamasu ruining it. Everything nearby was closed, so there was hardly any chance of me having a daily dose of caffeine, or perhaps a doughnut, even though I don't have much of a sweet tooth.

Of course, the lounge has a coffee machine, but they most likely only carry the generic sugars and creams. Hell, the coffee machine might even be broken. Pathetic coworkers. I can hear the door chiming with beeps of the password being placed into the door, unlocking it. The only ones who have access to my office are Zamasu, my assistant, and I. Unfortunately, my assistant isn't present until nine a.m. Like how I'm suppose to be.

Shuffling the pile of papers into a neat stack, I lay it in the middle of my desk, then glance up from the stack of papers to make out who was entering the office. And of course, it had to be the great god himself. Rolling my eyes I made my annoyance clear.   "Well, a very good morning to you too." Zamasu bitterly mumbles. "Why'd you make me come here so early?" I shoot back with an icy glare, raising out of my seat. "You know, ChiChi doesn't get here until nine, and on top of that, my favorite coffee shop is closed."

"I'm well aware that you're frustrated son, but understand. Sacrifices must be made in order to accomplish great work." Zamasu replies with a victorious smile, but deep down below the surface, that smile was just a mere taunt to make me even more indignant.

"Whatever, father." I grumble. "Are you going to enlighten me as to why you made me wake up this early?"

He approaches my desk and notices the finished paperwork, scooping it into his arms. While he does this, he says, "Excellent job on finishing the paperwork, and also, it's because I have a meeting in half an hour, and won't be able to do my main duties, so I want you to do them for me while I have this meeting." Zamasu approaches my door. "We might be getting a new business partner, so I don't want this meeting to fail."

With that, he fades away into the halls, as I shake my head, scratching my bangs that neatly rested on my forehead. Just a few words and he expects me to be okay with it. Of course, I was the CEO of this company, but Zamasu. Zamasu owns and maintains it. I just do the heavy workloads.

The clock finally struck eight-thirty, and I was nearly finished with Zamasu's duties. Most of them had to do with checkups, making sure everything was running the initiative, and organizing certain things. I was already exhausted with his so called child's play, but I wasn't done for the day until five p.m. Sighing softly to myself, I raise myself out of my seat and look at my bookshelf, to distract myself with a lengthy read.
