This chapter is a crossover that Scarlett_Sorcerer and I have been discussing for a while. I am allowed to use her characters, and even though in her book they haven't developed yet, we have decided on features. This is my impression of them.
Lauren's POV
We landed in a field. There were guards all around us and we were taken to a prison. That was quicker than usual, I thought. I look up to see four other people in the room. A tall woman with dark blonde hair, a shorter woman, brunette. Then I saw the two men. A curly reddish-brown with blue eyes and... him. He couldn't be here, could he? He had a dark brown quiff and green eyes. He was young, but not a child, and he was one person I didn't want to see for a long time yet.
"You!" The Doctor and the other man realised in unison.
"Get on with it!" I scolded them.
"Who is he?" The dark blonde asked.
"Me!" They yelled at her.
"Yes, yes. They're both the same person. Do I know you from somewhere?" I asked her.
"How would you? I'm not from around here, neither of us is." She gestured to the curly hair next to her.
"Who's she?" He asked. The older Doctor looked uncomfortable, no, confused.
"Lauren. Nice to meet you. May I ask, who are you?"
"I'm Carlos. This is my Doctor. She's cool." Oh, Sarah. What have you done?
"I'm still here if anyone wants to talk to me!" The brunette shouts across the room.
"Oh, sorry Clara. Yes, I know who you are, and don't make yourself sound like Harriet Jones, please."
"Who?" She looks genuinely confused.
"Harriet Jones, former prime minister." Older tells her. I look towards my Doctor, seeing him look back at me with the same saddened expression.
"How'd you get here? We've just left Cardiff."
"Well, we fell through the void and landed with these two," Carlos answered.
"We all landed here, were put in here for doing pretty much nothing, then you two were thrown in."
"Well, seeing as we're going to be in here for a while, I might as well tell you now. I'm not a regular Time Lord."
My wings shone in the dim light, Clara and Carlos coming closer to get a better look.
"You're one of them?" Clara asks softly.
"Yeah." I wince slightly as a streak of hair turns dark brown and another dark blonde.
"Whoa! What just happened?" Carlos asked.
"I don't know," my Doctor tells him slowly.***
Tenth Doctor's POV
What was happening to her? Her hair had changed colour just as it had when she met me. The others were asking questions, and only Chinny was quiet.
"What's up with you? You're usually more talkative."
"Just trying to remember. She's significant, isn't she?" I was shocked.
"Significant? What do you remember?"
"Not much, actually. I remember meeting her, but not much after that. I don't remember this, or what you two do next."
"You don't remember... what happened to it?" He looked confused. Now the other Doctor had gone over to Lauren with Clara and Carlos.
"Well, if you explain what 'it' is, I'd be happy to help." He couldn't stop his hands moving with his speech.
"No. How do I forget her, of all people? A day. That's how long it's been."
"Doctors, look at this!" Clara called us over. Lauren had passed out and a faint golden glow was radiating from her. "What is it?"
"That, Clara, is her internal energy combining."
"Oh my... she is, isn't she?" Blonde asked me.
"Yeah. It didn't take long if that's anything to you. We were under this... stuff. Koschei had injected it into her."
They stood there, gawping at me.
"You're telling us, she's pregnant?" Clara asks.
"Yeah?"
"How old is she?" She demands.
"314." She wasn't the oldest Time Lord, but she was the one I had met. They dispersed, leaving us to our corner of the room.
"Wake up, you're fine. Come on, Lauren." She sat up groaning like she'd gotten up early on a Sunday. When her vision focused, she stood up, strode over to Chinny, and hit him on the back of the head.
"What?" He turned around angrily, then calmed when he saw her.
"You're an idiot, you know. You don't remember anything about me, or this child growing inside me. They're going to have a parent who doesn't even know who they are."
"Arcaea."
"What?"
"Her name is Arcaea."
"You don't even know which gender. You don't remember anything about this family, so I'm going to make it last, with him." She pointed straight at me. I felt the flush come to my cheeks.
"I know you." That was Clara. "I've seen you before, but not golden hair. Different face. You haven't left, I've seen you around, like a shadow that doesn't want to stay."
"Clara, where? What have you seen that you're not telling me?" She looked uncomfortable. I saw Lauren reach for the door handle.
"It's locked," Blonde tells her. She pulls on it anyway, and it opens.
"How'd you do that?" Everyone else asked.
"It was unlocked!" She replies. "Five working brains and none of you tried the door? Geez." We quickly followed her out as she turned her wings to nothing.***
We got out. Turns out Blonde has a few tricks. Well, we're in my TARDIS, and apparently they both have different ones.
"Doctor, tell me if you remember this room." Lauren leads him down to the forest room. Clara looks like she really wants to talk to me.
"What is it?" I ask her.
"Oh, umm... well, I've been thinking, if he doesn't remember her, why? Instead of just his old age, it could be a purposeful memory wipe. Where'd she come from, anyway? I thought all the Time Lords were gone?"
"Why would anyone do that? She's different, I get it, but wiping her from my memory? And... it's complicated."
"I've got the best question," Blonde started. "How is she pregnant, with at least a 200 year age gap, by this Koschei person?"
'You need to get up here, Lauren.'
"Koschei is my oldest friend and enemy. He tried to torture her, wanted to put her through more torture with pregnancy."
"I'm so sorry." Clara was hugging me now. It felt kind of right like it would happen even if I tried to stop it. Within half a minute, it was a group hug, Carlos and Blonde coming to join us.
It was a couple of minutes before I felt feathers brush the back of my neck.
"I'm here for you," Lauren whispered.
