I've just read the novelisation of The Day of the Doctor, so some parts may be slightly different and some were improvised. Enjoy!
The Doctor's POV
Lauren was sitting down on the seat next to the console. She had already vomited multiple times this morning and I thought she should stay in the TARDIS for a while. I landed the old girl and walked out, right into the Queen's throne room.
"Oh no." Queen Elizabeth the First was sitting on the throne.
"Who are you, who enters my presence from a cabinet?" the Queen asked.
"I am Sir Doctor, your majesty," I replied bowing. It was odd bowing to a human, even if it was a queen.
"Then, Doctor, you shall show me how this magic cabinet works."
I lead the Queen into the console room to find that Lauren wasn't there. She gasped and muttered something that sounded somewhat like 'witchcraft'. I shook my head, a grin plastered on my face. I moved the TARDIS to an open field at the same time point.
"Your majesty, may I introduce you to my horse, Alison. Come on, up, up!" I climbed onto Alison's back, pulling Elizabeth with me. "Allons-y!" I yelled as we galloped through the doors. "See your majesty, bigger on the inside."
"The door isn't! You nearly took my head off! It's normally me who does that." I jumped off Alison, helping Liz climb off. Lauren walked slowly out of the TARDIS, forgetting to change her wings. "What is that?"
"She, Elizabeth, is my best friend. Don't call her 'that', she isn't a thing to be placed on a shelf. Lauren, may I introduce Queen Elizabeth the First." My last sentence was aimed towards my drifting friend, but she had become more than that a long time ago.
"Hello, your majesty. Doctor, do you know what's happening? Because I think I do. Do you remember?" I was wondering what she was talking about while I ran around inside the TARDIS, getting a small picnic ready.
When I ran out, I found Lauren sitting with the Queen, talking about wars and about how she'd come to be like she was. I placed the picnic blanket behind them and tapped them on the shoulder to get their attention. They both moved back on the blanket, I sat down, Lauren laying on top of me, Elizabeth laying with her head on the picnic basket. I was talking to Elizabeth, talking about her wars, the conflict I'd seen. I was giving them grapes to chew on when I felt a ding in my pocket. Zygon. I gave Lauren a look that said, 'please don't kill me for this', and stood up, Lauren sitting up just before me.
"Come on, your majesty. Up, up!"
"How dare you! I'm the queen of England!"
"I'm not English." I heard Lauren stifle a giggle as I said this. "Queen Elizabeth, will you marry me?"
"Of course, my love."
"Ha!"
"Something wrong, my love?"
"Well, the real Elizabeth, would notice when I casually mentioned having a different face. But then, the real Elizabeth isn't a shape-shifting alien from outer space."
"What?"
"Oh, drop the act! You're a Zygon!"
"What!"
"Oh, you know. Big red rubbery thing, covered in suckers."
"Doctor..." Lauren tapped me on the shoulder, pointing at where Alison was standing. Was, standing. Now stood a Zygon, face set in a snarl.
"Oh, it was the horse!" I turned back to Lauren. "I'm gonna be king." She elbowed me, then started running to a stone building down the hill, Elizabeth and I following quickly. Sometimes I wondered how she runs so fast in her condition.
We got down to the stone building, the Zygon chasing after us. I turned back to the field and saw a warren of rabbits running across it. I chased after them, Elizabeth running into the forest to get away from the Zygon.
I stopped when I saw a solitary rabbit.
"I am the Doctor, I'm nine hundred and four years old, I'm a Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey in the constellation of Kasterborous. I'm the Oncoming Storm, the Bringer of Darkness, and you're basically just a rabbit, aren't you?" I hear muffled laughing behind me, then when I turn my head, Lauren bursts, laughing her hearts out.
"Let's go find that Zygon, shall we?" She's still grinning like a maniac.
"Allons-y!" And I rush off, back in the direction I came from.***
"Elizabeth! Stay back!" A time window opens above us.
"I remember this," Lauren mumbles.
"Anything could happen!" A hat landed at my feet. "For instance, a fez."
"Geronimo!" I hear from the light before someone falls at my feet.***
Lauren's POV
I hid as I saw the Doctor land in front of the Doctor.
"That is skinny!" He exclaims. "That is proper skinny! I've never seen it from the outside, it's like a special effect! Oi, matchstick man!" He yells triumphantly as he snatches the fez.
"Doctor?" I poke my head out from behind the large tree. "What are you doing with yourself?"
They stare at each other, in either amusement or astonishment. They take out their sonic screwdrivers.
"Compensation."
"For what?"
"Regeneration, it's a lottery."
"Boys and their toys," I groan.
"Who's she?" The Doctor hisses in an attempt to be quiet.
"Again? The memory's playing up, is it? I'm your best friend. Now get that brain working, I don't want to be the only one who knows what's going on!" I step out from behind the tree, my wings spread and my stomach protruding.
They try reversing the polarity, even sending Clara the fez, but nothing worked.
The portal flexed, and the Doctor fell to the ground.
"Anyone loose a fez?" He asks in his raspy old voice. "Who are you?" He walks up and touches my wings, sending shivers down my spine.
"Lauren."
"I'm looking for, the Doctor."
"Well, you've certainly come to the right place," he commented.
"Are you his companions?" There was a chorus of yes and no. The Doctors took out their sonic screwdrivers. "You're me? Both of you?" He looks to the Doctor. "Even that one?"
"Yes!" He responds, offended by himself.
"Clara! Can you hear me?" I yell.
"Yes!" Came the reply.
"Stay with us. Go with Kate if she leaves!"
"How do you know Kate's with me?"
"I just know. Stay here until further notice!"
"Which one of you is the Doctor? I will have his head!" A commanding, guard-like voice boomed. Guards surrounded us. "The Queen is tainted! The Doctor is at fault!"
"Well, I guess this is your lucky day," the Doctor started.
"What witchcraft is this?" The soldier is frightened by the time window.
"Oh yes, witchcraft. Witchetty-witchcraft. Hello there! I'm I speaking to the witch of the well?" He calls. I facepalm knowing this was supposed to happen.
"Yeah. Doctor, what's going on?"
"It's a... time-y wimey thing."
"Time-y what? Time-y wimey?" War asks him.
"I don't know where he picks that stuff up," my Doctor comments. I facepalm again, knowing my favourite quote by heart, knowing who said it even more.
"Doctor, maybe let our witch ward off the guards?" I suggest.
"Yeah, off you pop, or I'll turn you all into frogs!" She says.
"Ooh, frogs! Yes," Eleven says.
"It's the Queen!" One of the guards shouts.
"Yes, it is I. The other one is indisposed. Long live the Queen." There was a chorus of 'long live the Queen' then Elizabeth spoke directly to us. "You're still standing. How very brave of you. Take them to the Tower."
"Ooh, the Tower. I request to be appointed there immediately. Breakfast at eight. Will there be wi-fi?" He babbles on.
"The Tower is not to be taken lightly. Come along." We were pushed into the back of a cart and sat for the time between the clearing and the cell in the Tower.
