Trouble In Paradise

“I don’t get it.” Caitlin said as we lounged around the pool on this beautiful Georgia day.

“Don’t get what?” I asked while I lay in a lounge chair with a pair of ray bans over my eyes.

“Why is everyone so obsessed with him?” she asked rolling her eyes at the magazine she held in front of her.

“Who?” I asked pulling off my sun glasses and snatching the magazine from her.

I looked down at the page to analyze it. I rolled my eyes.

“Harry Styles?” I asked laughing.

“Yes! What’s so great about him?”

I shrugged throwing the magazine back to her.

“Well I mean he is pretty good looking and he’s very charming. Plus he has really green eyes.” I said laying back down throwing my sun glasses back on.

“Hold up.” Caitlin said sitting up suddenly. “You talk like you have met him before. Are you not telling me something?”  

I laughed. “You’re so over dramatic, yes I met him one time, but it was really brief.” I said shaking my head.

“What!? And you didn’t tell me? Where?”

“Like I said it was very brief, it was in an elevator at the studio. You know for how much you seem to dislike him you seem very interested.” I said raising my eyebrows at her lowering my sun glasses.

She made face. “I do not care for him at all; I just don’t know why you didn’t tell me.” She said.

“Okay Ms. Defensive.” I said laughing leaning back in my chair again.

Caitlin opened her mouth to say something but a male’s voice interrupted her.

“Heyyyyy!”

I looked over my shoulder to see Justin, Ryan, and Chaz walking out of the house.

“Hey guys.” I said with a smile.

“Hey beautiful.” Justin said walking over to me and planting his lips on mine for a brief second.

“What are you guys doing here?” Caitlin asked.

“Just came to chill.” Chaz said plopping himself down in a chair.

I looked over to Ryan who was being really quiet, looking at Caitlin. I looked at Caitlin who had a very uncomfortable look on her face.

I scrunched my eyebrows.

“Okay, what’s up?” I said sitting up in my chair, eyeing the both of them.

They looked at me, then to each other but Caitlin quickly looked away.

No one said anything.

“Alright then, don’t answer me.”

“Did I miss something?” Chaz said with his mouth full of cookies.

I rolled my eyes.

“Ryan and Caitlin are secretly together.” I said putting air quotes around ‘secretly’.

Chaz’s mouth fell open, cookie chunks falling out with the action.

“What the?” he said spitting cookie everywhere.

“Didn’t your mother ever teach you to not speak with your mouth full?” Justin asked after being hit with cookie crumbs.

“Wait hold up lets go back to what she said.” Chaz said pointing at me. “You two are dating?” he said pointing at both of them.
