End of the line

  I sat there, head in hands waiting for Hank and Connor to return from Fowlers office. I knew there was no good news. We'd been investigating for a while, or should i say they had tried to investigate for a while, but Connors feelings were getting in the way of things. It wasn't a bad thing.

Eventually, both men left Fowlers office and sat at Hanks desk, Connor sat on the desk and me and Hank both in chairs. "So, what'd he say?" They stared at me for a while after that question slipped through my mouth, they almost seemed upset.

"We're off the case kid, I'm sorry i don't know what's gonna happen to ya. Your probably gonna get sent back to Kamski... What'll happen to you?" Hank asked Connor concerned. Connors answer wouldn't be pleasant , i knew that, but what he said next was upsetting to the core.

"I'll be deactivated and analysed to find out why i failed." He explained, distant and slightly upset, some form of emotion echoed through his goofy voice. There was a moment of silence until Hanks voice peaked though.

"What if we're on the wrong side? What if we're just fighting against people who want to be free?"

we? i'm not part of this! I was all up for their freedom. i  thought to myself as there conversation proceeded. There has got to be another way, there just has too.

" You showed empathy, Connor. Empathy is a human emotion." Hank began, obviously with a tinge of hope in his voice. I couldn't bare to hear Connors answer, believing he'd be in denial of truthful fact.

"If that's the case i'll find out when i get to Jericho" Connor explained.

Slowly, i stood up and made my way over to the android, he looked down at me once i arrived next to him and sat down on the desk. Once i was comfortable i rest my head on Connors shoulder, i knew he would most likely shake me off or just allow me to awkwardly lay my head there and do nothing. However, i was pleasantly surprised to feel his arm snake around me and pull me into a slight side hug.

" I know it's not always been easy, but i want you to know i really appreciated working with you. That's not just my social relations program talking i-i really mean that... or at least i think i do." A heart warming smile spread across Hanks face in return to a heart warming comment, which could've potentially been the last comment we'd ever hear from Connor. "As for you, you better stay outta trouble when i'm gone because i can't promise i'll be there to catch you when you fall off a building." Immediately, a smile spread across my face as well and Connor seemed to have his own little smile.

"Well, well her comes Perkins, That motherfucker.... sure don't waste any time at the FBI." Hank moaned, to which my reply was a silent whisper commenting "Evil dude" with a slight gasp at the end.

"We can't give up... I know the answer is in the evidence we've collected. If Perkins gets it, it's all over." Hurriedly, The android explain the situation to Hank.

"There's no choice! you heard what Fowler said, we're off the case." Hank exclaimed. Interested i sat up looking over a Perkins. Standing, i slowly turned to watch him and what he was doing, he seemed occupied with his phone. There conversation carried on, but with a tone of desperation in it, i didn't pay attention however my focus was on Perkins.

"Fine, key to the evidence room is on my desk. Y/n, your with me! let's go buy Connor some time." 

"mmmmm....okay!" 

Swiftly, Hank and I strolled over to Perkins, while Hank was pretending to be drunk i settled on kicking Perkins in the back of the leg. Once Hank threw a punch i kicked again and Perkins leg buckled underneath him, Hank then took the lead proceeding to punch him and bite him, doing whatever he could to keep him out of the evidence room. 

I witnessed Connor stroll to the evidence room with the key and with that he disappeared. Shortly after me and Hank were also kicked out of the police station, which was a surprise considering i had been kept in a cell for over a month.
