Chapter 3

We woke up at dawn wanting to get a headstart on the day. We decided to just go where ever this road would take us. All we were doing was following one road.

After a few hours we had to stop because the bridge was covering in zombies. The biggest horde we'd ever seen. I looked at Alistair with wide eyes. He stepped out of the car and walked to the baracade that trapped the monsters on the bridge.

"It looks like someone lead all of them here, it looks like there's a gate on the other side." I said looking at the madness.

"Or they're like penguins and all huddle together waiting for their mates to return." Alistair knew how to lighten the mood. Sometimes.

"Go get me two grenades, we shouldn't let these suffer. Just having them see us right now is torture." I tried to have some kindness. Specially if people were keeping these things trapped. Time to put their little madness.

"What are you going to do?"

"I'm testing something. Can these things surive being blown up?"

He let out a small laugh as he tossed one grenade, I pulled the pin and threw it as far as I could. I backed up to the car dragging Alistair with me, not sure how far I threw it. But when it went off it was near the back. I saw a blur towards the back but the flames were pretty much obscuring my view. There were shouts coming from the other side.

"Let's go, we don't need to be here when they find a way across." Alistair said looking at me.

I nodded getting back into the car. We sped off and turned into another road and followed it. The last thing I remember was the car lurching forward, then I blacked out.

I woke up tied to a chair. I jerked my arms around trying to loosen but only ended up with rope burn.

"What the fuck is this bullshit?!?!" I shouted.

The room was completely empty except for a two way mirror that separated me from these fucking psychopaths. I jerked around some more but ended up making skin raw. I couldn't get my feet loose either. Whoever tied these knots must be skilled. I decided to stop struggling and just wait for someone to appear. I dropped my head and closed my eyes. There wasn't must I could do other than wait, or I could keep struggling until all my skin fell off and I bleed to death. Not much I can do about that.

A few minuets past before I started wondering about Alistair. What have they done to him? More importantly, where is he? A little more important, is he alive?

These questions fluttered throughout my brain as time slowly ticked on.

After what felt like a million hours the door opened and someone stepped inside.

"So your the one who killed over three fourths of our test subjects." A female voice spoke.

"They aren't even human." I spoke softly.

"They are too!" she shrieked. "We just have to bring out the humanity hidden within them!"

"They're decaying creatures who's only objective in life is to feed off of your flesh." I tried talking some sense into this chick.

"Look at me." she ordered harshly.

I looked up my eyes locking with the mysterious woman's. She smirked in satisfaction, happy I was following her orders. I shook my head, this lady is crazy. But I've heard that's what happens in the Zombie Apocalypse. Your humanity is slowly taken from you because of killing. This is some Walking Dead shit.
