Chapter 6
I grabbed a sword and woke up the boys. They finally woke up and looked up at me. They looked a little pissed that I was interrupting their nice sleep.
"We have company." I whispered to where they could hear it.
"Good company or bad company?" Jasper asked.
"Bad. Like want to eat you bad." I told him.
"May I?" He gestured toward the weapons.
Alistair nodded before I could reply myself. He walked over and went through everything before choosing a simple dagger. I looked at him with a questioning look while he just smiled. A smile that almost said 'trust me' I chose to do so and let it go. Alistair and I grabbed a sword before going out the back.
"If we can sneak up behind them then we can probably down more of them then if we were face to face." Alistair planned out this fight.
Jasper and I just nodded in agreement choosing to deal with his plan, maybe this will be the perfect way to stay alive. We steathily walked around the abandoned house making sure not step on twigs or crunchy leaves. The one thing people get caught for in books and movies. I've seen enough, read enough, and prepared enough for this moment. When the world has decided to end. Why the world has to end 2013 I couldn't tell you.
Weird though. Supposed to end in 2012 but the Zombie Apcaplyse happens a year later after everyones decided to stop with survival plans. That just bites. Alright readers, time to go back to the story. Sorry for getting sidetracked.
The smell of rotting flesh filled our noses. It was sickening. If you've ever smelled rotting flesh you would know. It's like smelling rotten eggs mixed with a pungent sweet smell. Quite a horrid smell of you ask me.
We finally were behind them. We quietly snuck up behind them. We all readied our weapons and with three quick jabs we all had put down one zombie each. We finished off the remaining three before dragging the bodies out into the woods a little further away from the house.
"Now is the one time I wish I had hand sanitizer." I lightly laughed.
"I completely agree with you darling." Jasper smiled.
We had a huge group hug before racing back to the house. When we got there we ate a bag of crackers and talked about life before the Zombie Apocalypse of 2013.
Talking about it and living it is two totally different things. If I could suck you guys in here I would and let you all see how horrible it is to not be able to just lounge around all day.
"There was this one time Alistair shoved me down a hill that lead to a duck pond. Let's just say now I hate ducks." I laughed lightly while the other to laughed like Santa.
I smiled at how normal we seem now.
But an hour or so ago we were chopping off heads that belonged to the undead. This sounds like some weird book like Alice in Zombieland. (A.N amazing book!).
"I like how you aren't squeamish about this shit." Jasper smiled, almost like he was impressed.
"It's how her dad raised her. Always training her." Alistair stated looking at me.
"He was in the military so he knew something's. He trained me and Alistair just in case something happened. But now that I think about it I'm glad that he trained us to do all this stuff. Without it you would have had to kill us." I smiled thinking about all the time we had all spent together when I was younger.
"It's always nice to be prepared." Jasper shrugged.
I nodded not wanting to talk about my dad. Ever since Alistair put him down I've been trying to forget about him. No memories were trying to break down the wall I had put up in my mind.
