After Mal and North separated, North went to her chemistry class that she shared with Evie and Doug.
She walked in and found the only empty seat was in front of Evie. She took the seat, smiling at Evie and any boy staring at her.
Soon, the seat next to her made a sound, and she looked to see Chad taking a seat, grinning at her.
"Hey there." He said with his elbow on the desk. North eyed him curiously, but she smiled at him nonetheless.
"Hi." North said, taking his outstretched hand. He was a foot away from her, and oddly, her heart was beating rapidly. She felt a blush rise, but she quickly controlled it.
"I'm Chad. Chad Charming, daughter of Cinderella." He introduced, kissing the back of North's palm. Her eyes widened at his action but continued smiling.
"North Legume, Gaston and Snow Queen's daughter. I've heard about you from Ben. Something about me being gorgeous?" North joked, a wide grin present on her face. It was softer than her usual villainous smirks or grins.
"What can I say? I only speak the truth." Chad flirted, but he was secretly freaking out. It was off. Usually, he could flirt with girls easily, but this girl made him nervous and a blushing mess.
"I'm flattered, you're quite charming yourself." North flirted, and the pair chuckled at each other. They were interrupted by the teacher rudely looking at North.
"North! Perhaps this is just review for you, so tell me what is the average atomic weight of silver?" The teacher asked, and North narrowed her eyes slightly. He was underestimating her, much like men usually did. She could use that.
"Atomic weight? Well not much, I mean it's an atom right?" North joked as her and Chad started chuckling. The teacher gestured her to the board with an annoyed expression. She smirked and walked up the board with confidence.
She had the ability to look at something once that she could memorize it for as long as she needed. It had proven to be useful many times.
"The average atomic weight of silver is (106.905 x 0.5200 + 108.905 x 0.4800) which gives us 107.9 amu." North solved the equation, shocking everyone. She was grinning at the speechless teacher.
"I forget, always a mistake to underestimate a-"
"A villain? Don't make it again, sir." North warned, but the warm smile remained on her face. Strangely, the innocent smile seemed sinister on her face. North tossed the chalk back to the teacher and returned to her seat.
"Smart and beautiful. Is there anything you can't do?" Chad asked, an inch away from North's face.
"Other than being ugly, I can do anything you want." North whispered, her breath fanning over his lips. He shuddered at her action, his face very red.
Originally, he was planning on using her smart skills into doing his homework, but he didn't want to manipulate this girl. The two continued staring at each other, smiling. Evie looked between them with a knowing but still confused look.
Before North left the classroom, Chad whispered in her ear.
"Meet me under the bleachers at 6." North nodded and caught up with Evie and Doug.
"What was that, N?" Evie asked, but she was smiling at her friend.
"What do you mean?" North responded, pretending to be oblivious. Doug was next to Evie and remained quiet in the conversation.
"He totally likes you, and it seems you might like him too." Evie stated causing North to freeze a little.
"I don't do crushes, E. You know that." She trailed off, but then she turned to Doug.
"What can you tell me about Charming?" Doug seemed startled at the girl's question, but he rolled his eyes.
"Chad Charming, son of Prince Charming and Cinderella. Spoiled, inherited his parents' looks but not much else. Chad inherited the charm, but not a lot of there there if you know what I mean." Doug explained. North nodded her head giggling. Chad reminded her of her brothers in a way.
North bid her friends a farewell, and she walked to her next class. She was anticipating her meetup with Chad.

6 pm rolled around, and North followed Chad under the bleachers hand in hand. Chad could've sworn he felt butterflies when he touched her.
"Is everybody at home as pretty as you?" Chad asked, still holding her hand.
"Well, I'd like to think 'no one's like me." North joked, making Chad laugh. It felt nice being with the female. He didn't feel like he had to fake an image with her. Chad felt happy to be with her.
Chad leaned in to kiss North, but she pulled away with a teasing grin.
"Sorry Chad, but I hope you didn't bring me here just to make out because I'm not that kind of girl." North accused, and Chad shook his head immediately.
"No, no. I'm not..no I was just uh." Chad frantically tried to think of an excuse. He didn't want North to think he was using her and then stop hanging out with him.
"Relax, it's alright." North's words caused Chad to calm down which she noticed. Her heart fluttered at the motion.
"You really nailed that chemistry problem. I bet you'll have all of the nerds after you." Chad said, causing North to giggle.
"Thank you, but I'm sure it's not just the nerds after me." North grinned with a wink. She got closer to Chad's face, teasing the now flustered boy.
"You've got quite the manners and class compared to the other villain kids." Chad pointed out. North mentally noted that he was attentive and not as dumb as he seemed.
"My mom was a queen, after all. I grew up learning to be a 'princess' like she was." North explained. Without them realizing, the pair moved closer together. They could feel each other's breath as the breathe.
"Hey, I heard they keep Fairy Godmother's wand in some boring museum. Do they always keep it there?" North asked, possibly a chance to get information.
"Usually, but they're going to use it as Ben's coronation. Everyone's going...maybe I'll see you there." Chad answered, really hoping she'd go with him.
"Maybe you will." North spoke, and she leaned even closer to Chad. The bell rang interrupting their conversation. North pulled away, much to both of their dismay.
"I got to go, thanks for this." North softly smiled at Chad, making his heart race more. As she turned away, Chad reached out for her.
"W-wait, do you wanna go on a date? Get to know each other more?" Chad asked, and after a while, North nodded happily.
"Alright, I'll see you then." North walked away with a genuine smile that she hadn't worn in a long time.
These new feelings were frightening to the girl, and she had only felt like this once before.
