Chapter 2

It was Manik and Nandini's wedding night. Nandini was waiting for Manik in their room but there was no sign of him. After a long hour of waiting he came.

Nandini was happy seeing Manik but all her happiness flew away when she noticed, Manik didn't even look at her for once. He took his clothes and directly went to change in the washroom. Manik came out after changing and found Nandini still sitting in the same position.

"Why are you still sitting here like this? Go and change your clothes. And yes I can't sleep with you on the same bed," Manik told the last line and turned his face to other side. Nandini was getting shocked with his behaviours.

"Manik, what are you saying? Why are you saying all this?" Nandini was really confused with Manik's behaviour. She is not able to recognise this Manik.

"You don't know? Then it's not my duty to let you know. Just keep it in your mind that I agreed for this marriage to give you the same which I had gone through." Manik told sarcastically. Nandini had tears in her eyes.

Manik was about to leave but stopped and continued, "At first I had decided not to agree for this marriage. Then I thought it's the only way to let you know all my pains. I will burning with pain and you will be happy with someone else, it can't happen. I wanted to let you know how does it feel when you see the person you love with someone else.

You will never get me, Nandini. We won't never be like other normal husband wife. There is only hatred on the opposite side of love. Now I just hate you. Only hate. I hate you more than I had loved you."

There was a clear hint of hatred in his voice which made Nandini shiver. She was unable to understand what Manik is talking about. She couldn't remember that she did something to hurt him.

Then why so much coldness???

After hearing Manik, Nandini felt like there's no strength left in her to ask him about what he's talking about. She didn't know what to say. After knowing Manik hates her, what she she even say.

Nandini turned towards Manik but found him already sleeping on the coach. She thought to ask him to sleep on bed but couldn't father the courage to wake him up. So, she didn't say anything and slept quietly.

Next morning Nandini got up early and found Manik still sleeping. She took shower and got easy hurriedly, then went down. She was helping Neela, Manik's mother in the kitchen. She was overwhelmed by her gestures. Nandini felt like she has got her mother back.

"I am going back to Mumbai today only. I got a call from office in the morning," Manik announced at the breakfast table. Everyone turned towards him.

"You had 5 days leave, didn't you?" Asked Neela sadly.

"I had applied but due to some emergency, they cancelled the leave. I have to go," Manik said looking down. Nandini knew he is lying but didn't say anything.

"Now what will Nandini do?" Neela was more worried about Nandini.

"How will I know that? She only knows. If she wants, then she will come or else she can stay here," Manik replied disinterestedly.

"Nandini, what do you say?" Neela asked Nandini who was wearing beside her.

"What will I say? Whatever you say," Nandini replied in a slow voice.

"Okay, then you will be leaving with Manik. That's better I guess," Neela announced.

Manik frowned and told, "Fine, then ask her to complete her packing fast. I will be leaving soon."

Hearing Manik, Nandini left her breakfast in the mid way and went to pack her bags.

Nandini was continuously looking at Manik in the car but he didn't even for once took a glance of her. Before whenever they used to go outside, Manik always kept staring at her face. Nandini couldn't help blushing all those times.

Manik used to take care of her like a baby. If she need anything or she has any problem or she is comfortable or not and many more. But today he is not even looking at her.

Manik and Nandini reached to their apartment. Nandini was looking around. It was not very big but small and cozy. They have always dreamt of having a home like this.

Nandini sighed that everything is same but Manik has changed only.

Whole way Manik didn't talk to Nandini not even after coming home. He just went into his room and got busy in talking with someone.

Nandini kept her things aside and freshened up. Then she went to prepare their dinner as it's already late. After finishing her works, she came to call Manik for dinner but found him working on laptop. He was totally drowned in that.

Nandini was standing on the door and staring at Manik. She was thinking how can Manik change so much? He started hating her so much in just a year. But she still loves him like the same way she used to.

Nandini was lost in her thoughts when Manik saw her standing on the door. At first he chose to ignore but again he decided against that and asked her, "What are you doing here? You wanted to say anything?"

Hearing Manik's word, Nandini came back to her senses and nodded her head positively.

"So tell me. Why are you standing quietly?" Manik again got back to his rude mode making Nandini sigh.

"Oh... Dinner is ready. Come. It's already late," Nandini told fumbling a little.

Manik nodded and told, "You go. I am coming."

Then he again go busy in his laptop. Nandini left from their. They had dinner quietly. After dinner, Nandini was about to enter into Manik's room but he stopped her and told
