Chapter 12

Manik met with Maddhaym and Pihu. They decided to sit somewhere and clear the misunderstandings. They settled themselves on the food court of the shopping mall.

"Now tell me what's the problem, Manik?" Madhaym asked Manik.

"What will I say? You will say." Manik was confused seeing their behavior. He didn't know how to react.

"Leave all this and first tell me is Nandini taking all her medicines on time?" Madhaym asked Manik.

It was Manik's turn to be shocked. He had no idea what they were talking about. "Medicines for what? What happened to Nandini?"

"What! You don't know about Nandini?" Madhaym was shocked too.

Manik nodded in no.

"Aren't you in touch with Nandini?" Madhaym frowned at him. He got serious. 

This time he too got serious. "No, from two months. Because of you." He uttered the last line gritting his teeth.

Madhaym kept staring at Manik's face for a while. He was trying to observe his expression and realize the situation. He thought of something before he spoke up. "Oh I see. You thought me to be her or she's dating me, right? But let me tell you, I am not her ex nor I have any kind of romantic relationship with her. She is like my sister. I am her psychiatrist and Aryaman is my best friend."

"Psychiatrist!!!" Manik was surprised with the mention.

Madhaym nodded his head. "Yes, when her mother died, she got really shocked. That accident in front of her and she couldn't take it. She lost her memory. She was not at right state of her mind. That time me and my friend, a nutritionist got her out of that condition. I had done her counselling. I had to take her all her favorite places and made her all her favorite things. 

But we just couldn't tress you. She used to take your name but there was no way to find you. We couldn't find her phone that's why it was impossible to contact you. When she got married to you, I thought it's good that she is getting married to the person she loves. But again she got the shock and she couldn't take it."

"Wait... What do you mean by she got shock again. What happened again?" Manik stopped him. He had no idea that so much has happened behind her. All this was getting too much for him.

Madhaym looked at him with surprise before frowning. "You don't know anything? What are you saying? Nandini was pregnant. You know that right?"

"Nandini was pregnant!!!" It came as another shock for Manik.

"Yes, she fell down that's why she had miscarriage. She also hit hurt on her head which got her a short term memory loss. She is also having a new problem. Now only one thing is roaming in her mind that is her baby is no more. The nutritionist is looking after her. After that I will start counselling again."

Hearing all this Manik completely shocked. He didn't know what to do. When they weren't in touch for a year, that time Manik used to go to the coffee shop thinking Nandini will come there for sure.

She had come there but with Madhaym. He had seen her with Madhaym twice. He had thought that Nandini got into relationship with someone else because she didn't even for once noticed him. But he didn't know whatever he saw was so wrong. There was so many behind them. Nor did he tried to know them.

Now only one thing was roaming in Manik's mind that how will he go in front of Nandini. He was the reason behind they lost their child. It was him who had pushed her that day. After that he didn't even think it's important to ask her whereabouts.

Manik's pov
Because of my anger we lost our baby. All this happened only because of me. Will Nandini ever forgive me? Do I deserve forgiveness?

Nandini has gone through so much. I insulted her so much still she kept on bearing them without even being in fault. I only became the reason of her misery.

What should I do now? Should I go to Nandini? Will she come back to me?

"Now I hope all your confusion is cleared." Pihu spoke for the first time in between. Till now she was quite and letting them speak.

Hearing Pihu's voice Manik came back to the reality.

"How is Nandini now?" He didn't know what to say or he had any right to ask about her or not.

Madhaym sighed looking at his face. "Not good at all. Most of the time, we have to give her sedative so that she is asleep. Else she faces problem. It's too difficult to control her. She behaved like a crazy."

"Can I meet her?" His voice was almost inaudible. 

"Sure. But I can't say, if she will remember you or not. She can't remember many things."

"I will go to meet her now only."

Saying this Manik didn't wait anymore and left from there for Nandini's place. He is not ready to waste a single moment without Nandini.

Madhaym too asked Pihu to go home and he himself went to Nandini's place as thinking about Nandini's condition he can't take risk. He needs to be there.
