Sonic the hedgehog: rise of Mephiles

Ever since Sonic and his friends defeated Eggman and Infinite, the world has become more peaceful than it has ever been in years. Everyone from The resistance has now separated and have gone home to their families and friends to live out their lives in this time of piece for as long as they can.
Since then, the world has been restored to its former glory after a long while of cleaning up the damaged homes and pieces of robot parts.

Sonic steps outside of his home and he embraces the sun rising as a new day comes to the beautiful world of mobius and he then sighs in relaxation as he watches the sun rise.
Sonic "nothing like a beautiful sunrise to start the day."
Sonic has been more relaxed for the past 2 years now, but he still keeps his guard up for when Eggman decides to make his return to take over the world. As he stands outside his house, he notices his clock and becomes alarmed about something.
Sonic "gah, I forgot, everyone's gathering at the park for the party."
Sonic than gets in a runners starting position, and in the blink of an eye, dashes off in a streak of blue light as he makes his way to the the park. He then does a ton of parkour moves as he jumps over houses, jumps over any ledges, and goes around some loops.
Soon, Sonic approaches an open area outside of the city and stops as he sees Tails, Knuckles, and Amy waiting for him.
Sonic "how's it going guys, did I miss anything."
Tails "your just in time for the party to start."
Sonic "great, cause there's no way in the world I'd miss out on this party"
Sonic, Amy, tails, and knuckles all walk over to a picnic area where everyone of Sonics friends are there. the chaotix, rouge, omega, cream and cheese, shadow, silver, and blaze are all excited that the party can get started and they can celebrate this long lasting piece.
Everyone is sitting together, enjoying their fun conversation, having delicious food, they were also playing some games that were set up for anyone who wanted to play.  Over in one area sonic and tails are sitting at a table and sonic is enjoying a chili dog that he got himself.
Sonic "I still think it's amazing that this has been the longest time in ages that we've gone without a single attack from eggman or any other threat."
Tails "well it's all thanks to you sonic. None of us would be standing here today if you hadn't come back. We're lucky that you were still alive, most of the resistance all thought that you were actually gone, but I never gave up hope, and luckily,we found you."
Sonic chuckles a little bit after tails said all of that.
Sonic "yeah, infinite had to be one of the toughest guys I've ever faced in my life.  I know everyone says that I'm the one who defeated him, but I definitely couldn't have beat him without you guys. You all rose up and fought alongside me to defeat him. I can't thank you guys enough for being there with me all the way."
Tails "well, you know that no matter what, we're your family, and none of us would ever leave you behind."
Sonic hugs his best friend after that heart felt little talk about their battle with infinite, and then sonic finishes his chili dog after they release from their hug. Behind them, Amy is holding a box with a blue bow on top of it, which one could only assume is a gift she has for sonic. She then begins to think in her head about giving it to him.
Amy "should I give it to him, what if he doesn't want it, what if he doesn't like it. No, Amy your over thinking this, just go up, and politely hand him the gift.
Amy then walks over to sonic and tails and they turn around to speak to her.
Sonic "oh, hey Amy"
Amy "hi there, sonic"
Sonic looks down and notices the gift that she has in her hands.
Sonic "what's that you got in your hands Amy."
Amy "oh, this, umm...it's a..gift..that I got..for you, actually. I hope you like it"
Amy hood the gift out, and sonic takes it and opens it up. Inside is a picture of him and Amy in a field of flowers. Sonic is a little surprised at this gift, which scares Amy a little, but then he smiles.
Sonic "I love it Ames, thank you."
Amy "really!! Uh, well I'm happy you like it, Sonic"
Sonic and Amy just look at each other giving some awkward looks, but then tails steps in with a smug look while smiling.
Tails "sorry if I'm interrupting something important."
Sonic "knock it off tails."
Amy gives a small giggle at what tails said, and then walks away.
Amy "well, I'm happy you like the gift sonic, I'm gonna go talk to everyone else now, see you later."
Sonic "see you later Ames."
Amy walks off and sonic still looks at her with a warm smile, and then tails one again bumps in the interrupt Sonics thoughts.
Tails "so when do you think the wedding will be."
Tails laughs out loud and sonic still keeps his smile but is still irritated by tails.
Sonic "oh shut up tails, me and her aren't even dating. I already know that she's liked me for years, and lately...I've actually started to like her now."
Tails is surprised by what sonic has just said.
Sonic "I know, it sound crazy. Since the wars ended and everything's gone back to normal, I've been more relaxed. I still enjoy seeing the world on my runs, but now I want to share it with someone special. And that someone is Amy rose."
Tails "then why don't you just tell her how you feel, sonic?"
Sonic pauses for a moment but then answers
Sonic "because I don't know if I can handle that kind of pressure. If any bad guy knew that her and I were together then I feel like they would use her to get to me."
Tails "you really think that anyone could ever try to take down and/or capture Amy. This is the same Amy that took down several robot armies by herself with nothing but her hammer. I'm pretty sure that no bad guy or robot even wants to come anywhere near her because of how terrifying she can be."
Sonic "heh, your definitely right about that. Maybe I will tell her about how I feel, but probably not today."
Tails "why not"
Sonic "because right now, I just wanna enjoy this party and have some fun. And also eat plenty of chili dogs until I'm full."
Sonic and tails have a laugh and then head back to where everyone else is and join them.
Over at a picnic table, Silver and Blaze are sitting together, enjoying the view from the party.
Silver "it's hard to believe that two years ago, this place was nothing but rubble and debris. Now look at it."
Blaze "A lot has changed in the last two years, for the better at that.  And we owe it all to each other for pulling through to help."
Silver "yeah.  It's amazing."
Silver looks away for a moment and ponders something.
Silver takes a minute, then decides to say something.
Silver "hey blaze"
blaze "yes silver"
Silver stops for a second, thinking about his next words, until he gives in to fear, and makes up something that seems close to what he really wanted to say.
Silver "heh, it's nothing.  I'm...just happy that I met you.  Your a good friend, and I wouldn't want to change that for anything."
blaze's face starts turn to red as silver places his hand on hers.
Blaze "T..Thank you, silver."
She smiles, then an awkward silence between them starts, and then the two continue with a more normal conversation to break the silence.
