Sonic the hedgehog: rise of Mephiles

Lesson

Zeena approaches the area where the emerald is and soon finds the white emerald on the ground.
Zeena "this was easier than I thought it would be, well than, I'd better get this back the lord mephiles"
Just as Zeena is about to leave sonic and the others show up
Sonic "not so fast Zeena, your not going anywhere with that emerald"
Everyone charges at Zeena and they begin to take her on all at once.  Zeena actually puts up a decent fight using some powers given to her by Mephiles.  But even with this knew power, she still cares about nothing more than her looks, and gives up after Amy breaks one of her nails making her angry.
Zeena "you broke my nail, ugh, you know what, here, take this stupid thing."
Amy "your really just gonna give it to us"
Zeena "yeah, here just take it I don't even care anymore, I don't wanna ruin my nails any more than I already have."
Than Zeena jumps away and heads back to mephiles' lair.
Tails "that was surprisingly easy"
Sonic "she's exactly the same as when we fought on the lost hex."
sonic says in an annoyed tone.
Shadow "well luckily for us, we have our first emerald."
Silver "and we still have 5 more to go.  Let's head back to the ship and search for the rest.  Now that Mephiles knows our plan, he's probably gonna be sending a lot of enemies to keep us from getting the rest."
Everyone heads back to the ship and they head out to find the next emerald

(Elsewhere)

Back at mephiles lair, mephiles sits on his thrown waiting for the return of the deadly six and neo metal sonic.
Infinite "are you certain that the zetis will be enough to deafeat sonic and his friends"
Mephiles "they may not be as strong as the three of us, but I will do whatever it takes to ensure that those emeralds do not fall in sonic's hands"
Outside, Zeena walks past the door to the throne room and tries not to let Mephiles know she is there.
Mephiles "I know your there zeti, enter now"
Zeena walks in and remains calm and casual as she stands in front of Mephiles, nazo, and infinite.
Mephiles "where is Zor"
Zeena "one of the hedgehogs friends defeated him"
Nazo "did you at least successfully retrieve the emerald"
Zeena casually tells them while looking at her nails.
Zeena "no, I didn't get it" she says in a casual tone
Mephiles eyes widen in anger as he hears this.
Zeena "I let them have it, I didn't want to ruin my..."
Zeena is cut off after a blast hits her and knocks her to the ground and mephiles approaches her with rage filling his eyes and is surrounded and a black and purple aura and bolts of purple lightning strike everywhere.
Mephiles "YOU DID WHAT!!!"
Zeena looks at mephiles, and all around the lair everything starts shaking, with lightning sparking around Mephiles, and she whimpers in fear as he gets closer.
Mephiles "YOU JUST LET THEM HAVE THE EMERALD!"
Zeena "y-yess"
Mephiles "AND FOR WHAT POSSIBLE REASON DID YOU LET THEM TAKE IT!"
Zeena becomes even more afraid as he asks.
Mephiles "OUT WITH IT!!"
Zeena answers in fear "I...didn't want to...ruin my nails."
This just makes mephiles even Angrier and he raises his hand charging a black and purple blast from his hand.
Mephiles "YOU USELESS PATHETIC IMBECILE"
Mephiles fires the blast at Zeena turning her into dust and leaving no remains of her.
Mephiles "let that be a lesson to any who dare to disobey me."
Mephiles walks back to his thrown, and infinite and Nazo are unfazed by what just happened.
Nazo "to think, that weakling once posed a threat to the world, yet all she cared about was her vanity."
Infinite "I know you've already answered this my lord but..are you certain that the zetis will be enough to defeat sonic, you've just witnessed first hand how pathetic the other five zetis are"
Mephiles "the only one of those pathetic creatures that I'm certain won't fail is zavok, those other 5 imbeciles are simply pawns in this plan, I only gave them their new powers so that they could at least be a match for Sonic or any of his friends, but it seems that I've wasted that gift for two weaklings"
Nazo "If they are the pawns, then what are the rest of us"
Mephiles pauses in front of them with his back turned but then answers nazo's question
Mephiles "I chose Zavok and metal sonic for their ability to control all machines.  That is why they both lead our armies of badniks, and thanks to the good doctors factories, we have an endless supply of these robots.  And you two..."
Mephiles pauses "you are the only ones who are close to my level of power, you are the only ones who have come close to defeating that hedgehog and his friends, granted you two did fail at succeeding, but you still came the closest out of all others, that is why I trust you two more than those weakling.  And, I have bigger plans for you both, which may be put into action should the hedgehog and his friends succeed in the retrieval of all seven Chaos Emeralds."
Infinite and Nazo both kneel before mephiles after hearing his praise for them.
Nazo "we are honored that you see us as being equal to you my lord"
Infinite "whatever plans you may have for us, I can assure you that we shall execute them without question, and we will not fail you lord mephiles"
Mephiles turns to them and than praises them even more and then gives a sinister yet calm looking grin
Mephiles "I know you won't"

(Back at the ship)

Everyone is celebrating in the main deck after getting the second emerald that they need to defeat Mephiles.
Sonic "I cant believe it was that easy the get the emerald"
Shadow "I'm betting Mephiles was so angry with Zeena that he obliterated her."
Shadow says while he stands in the corner with his eyes closed and his arms crossed.
Silver "I'm just happy that we made it out alive after running into Zor and those badniks, I almost lost blaze when we fought him"
Blaze "but you didn't, and I'm happy that you defended me silver"
Blaze kisses silver on the cheek.
Silver "I'm just happy that he didn't kill you"
Silver then hugs blaze tightly. Amy then looks at sonic, wondering if this is the right moment to tell him, deciding to tell him later in private.

(Later that night)

Everyone else is in bed sleeping, but Amy decides to get up to go and find sonic. As she makes her way through the halls of the ship, she notices sonic outside training not just with his speed but also with his fighting skills. Amy then walks outside and sonic notices her approach.
Sonic "oh, hey Amy, why are you up so late"
Amy "I just couldn't sleep, so I thought I'd take a walk around the ship" Amy says nervously. "What are you doing out here"
Sonic "I'm training, I wanna be ready for when we have to fight mephiles again after we collect the rest of the emeralds"
Amy "I didn't think you'd be this worked up over a villain, usually your confident about being able to beat any opponent"
Sonic stops training and sits on the ground.
Sonic "this guy is different Amy, different from any other foe I've faced in the past, he's stronger, smarter, more skilled than any of us, and heck, I'd even say that he's actually faster than me"
Amy "well there's something I thought I'd never hear you admit"
Sonic "yeah, even I thought I'd never say that about anyone, but with Mephiles, that's a different story."
Amy "He really has you worked up doesn't he"
Sonic "yeah, and my first fight with him taught me that I have to get stronger and faster, so that I can protect everyone in mobius, to protect my friends, and to protect you"
Amy blushes after hearing this from sonic.
Sonic "well, I'll just finish up here and then get some sleep.  So your tomorrow Amy."
Amy smiles "yeah, goodnight Sonic."
Amy walks back into the ship, as sonic stops for a moment and sits down gazing at the sky.
Amy stops inside, and pauses, thinking about what Sonic just said to her.  The two hedgehogs both begin to think of each other in their thoughts, as they head off to sleep, awaiting for the next day so that they may find the next emerald.
